The breakfast was, quite poor for the money. Lots of things run out and we kept having to ask for things. Our room although lovely and big was on the main road and was very noisy

The upgrade was lovely, room was big

The hotel supported our needs. We didn't request a quiet room but wish we had as neighbouring guests were noisy and we had to ask reception to turn off music during night.

    Nice hotel, terrible parking

The parking was NOT good. I was travelling with a disabled person and of the two disabled parking spaces, one was occupied by a skip and the other by a pickup truck without a disabled badge. The staff seems unconcerned with this which is rather dissapointing.

The hotel was well presented and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very nice although a little over priced at £16.50 for what was on offer.

The paintwork in the bathroom - door and side of bath especially - was very worn. There was a fair old noise from the back of the building so having the window open wasn’t really an option. I think it also needs fixing.

Location, nearly opposite Exeter Central, was perfect. Decent tea and coffee supplies were provided and the room was warm during the stay. Though I didn’t require it, 12pm check-out was nice. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the wonderful cathedral and environs as well as the shops.

The room didnt have any air-conditioning and was front facing, so when we opened the windows the street noise was really loud! Apart from that the room was spacious and well furnished just a bit too hot!!!

The staff at reception were excessively accomodating both during check-in and check-out...

We were woken up twice before 9am by housekeeping and the floor was incredibly creaky in our room.

Receptionist was lovely, extremely clean accommodation that was very comfortable and convenient. I’d stay here again.

Beware interconnecting rooms! Although the door is locked you can hear every word from the people next door. The man decided to ring his wife at 6.30 am and immediately woke me up as he started to speak. Frightening as he sounded to be right next to me.

Lovely traditional hotel directly opposite the station. Very convenient for city centre. Big spacious lounge. Nice dining room.

My only downfall to our stay was the room was not very clean, our shower hadn’t been cleaned from the last visitor along with hairs all in the bathroom and marks on the bedsheets.

Location of the property was lovely, right in the heart of the city with everything on your doorstep.

Really old tv with only freeview and not compatible with any smart devices, with a really annoying, broken battery compartment. There was only two caffeinated pods in the box to use for the Nespresso machine the other two were decaf. I don’t drink decaf, it’s pointless and so I asked the receptionist to change it to four caffeinated so that my fiancée and I could make the most of the machine we’d paid extra to have, giving that I paid for the privilege room. When we got back from our day out they got it wrong and gave me four decaf pods instead. So I had to go down to reception again to get them to give me four of the pods I requested. This was pretty annoying due to the lift being broken. Another thing that we didn’t like was that there was only one robe in the hotel room…when it was a room booked for two people. When I asked the man at reception for another one to be added to our room, he said they don’t offer that, and that it’s only “one per room”. This didn’t sit well with me as like I said before we’d paid for a privilege room but couldn’t see where the extra money went. So when we came back from town I asked the now female receptionist (who was lovely might I add and very friendly and funny) she said “yeah no problem I’ll sort it for you.” So I think communication on rules and regulations for staff needs to be re-looked at. And when we arrived on the first night, the shower gel was empty, so I asked them to replace it and they did but didn’t attempt to attach it to the wall and get rid of the old one, they left it on the bathroom sink. It wasn’t a horrible stay by any means but I’m unsure if I’d want to stay there again.

The location, how cosy it feels, some of the staff and the decent breakfast.
