Clean room. On seafront.

Was having breakfast this morning and dogs are allowed in the restaurant,one dog was shaking it self and dog hair was floating everywhere, I don't think dogs should be allowed were food is, apart from that the hotel is lovley place

The service was quite slow. Check in was at 3pm but we didn't get our key card until 3:50pm. The wait for drinks at the bar was quite long even though there were no other customers & the tables weren't cleared in reception area for quite a while, leaving it looking and feeling a little cluttered & messy.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, the bed & pillows were super comfy & it was extremely dog friendly (which suited us as we brought a dog with us). The staff were friendly & the location is perfect.

The hot food the scrambled eggs was dried and looked black the sausages was dried up There was no verity with eggs ..fried poached just scrambled I think where its kept under the glass containers it makes it sweat

I found the continental breakfast was superb The rooms was outstanding Spotlessly clean Bed was amazingly comfortable

No toilet rolls in bathroom and lots of dogs in the dining room which we did not like. Also no room in the car park which was one of the reasons we chose the hotel as we have a very expensive car and do not like leaving it parked on the road.

Disappointed with breakfast as I like lots of fresh fruit and this was very limited. Also the decaffeinated coffee had completely run out which was very disappointing and very poor for such a big hotel.

When booking they did not mention that the private parking that they keep on about had to be payed for we didn't find out about that untill after we payed for the stay! It should have been in the price and told to guests on first looking to book, £30 for two nights i was not happy.

Breakfast was very nice but we went down about 8 to 830 and a lot of things had not been replaced (ie scrambled egg bacon) it was as if we had to have the scraps left by other guests!!

Only the rooms at the front have a nice view, the rooms at the back look over a multi story car park which is being knocked down.

The only real complaint would be lateness in servicing the room. We came back on the first day at 4.15 and room only then being cleaned. The second day we came back at 5.00 and room wasn’t cleaned at all.

The welcome by the receptionist was lovely, nice informative and cheerful start to our break, rooms lovely and spacious. Ate in the restaurant on two occasions and was great. Staff in restaurant also very attentive. Well done to the team at Mercury Paington.

The only comment is communication on line, I messaged via booking.com and to request another night and early check in which they arranged without letting me know but didn’t put a note on system so room wasn’t ready.

Shower screen didn’t come far enough down or across….. flooded the bathroom Meals expensive

The view from privilege room 319 was of the pier and seafront And the bed was very comfortable… best one yet of various hotels in various countries. We will be back

Nothing thoroughly enjoyed everything

The Mercure is absolutely gorgeous. Myself/son and baby grandson stayed in a 2 double bedded room, we took our own baby cot although they do provide them on request. The room was huge and spotlessly clean, very modern and new. Safe , fridge, tv, WiFi and huge comfy beds and pillows. Bathroom was gorgeous too with a great shower. All the staff we me were lovely and friendly. And the breakfast was just what we needed for our busy day ahead of us.Cooked and continental choices and a great coffee machine. I will stay here again and my son said he’ll stay again with the rest of his family. Parking onsite is £15 for 24 hrs. Pay at reception and log your car reg.But limited spaces.

The extar cahrge for parking was secret until the booking had been made. It is a bit naughty to advertise parking on site, then when a booking ahs been made say that a space cannot be gauranteed and that there is a charge of £15.

Drinks in the room fridge.Are they free? No information on that,no menu in rooms for dinner.TV guide unreadable.No tea bags,a coffee machine in room but without coffee to use it.Room was very dusty in places.

Massive beds,with beautiful sea view,huge windows,large TV,wet room and buffet breakfast all fabulous.

Only thing that was a bit annoying were other guest letting their doors slam during the night that rattled the walls.
