Overall the stay was superb 👌. I would definitely recommend as Melvin was so helpful and giving information. The Mill Lodge was 5 star but I felt it was more. He was so lovely and friendly and went that extra mile. He joined us for a drink and a lovely social chat. He was an amazing host 👏. The food was more than excellent 👌 😋. Plenty on your plate. The breakfast was fantastic and more. Melvin was so friendly and welcoming from the start, and shared his photography with us. They were absolutely 💯 stunning and you will see them throughout. We briefly met his wife. She was lovely but didn't see that much of her which sadly was a shame but Melvin definitely made up for her absence. I asked if they could. Maybe decorate the bedroom for my partners surprise birthday and he had. It was so lovely of him to do that for me to finish the surprise for my partner. The whole time we were there was absolutely fantastic. I couldn't of asked for any more. A huge big thank you for everything Melvin.

Room facing back of house. Uncomfortable two nights. Mattress in deluxe double room needs replacing. During the night, my husband and I kept knocking into each other because the mattress sags in the middle.

That I only stayed 1 night. I would definitely recommend staying longer in this Ares.

Mel and Kell were fabulous hosts from the moment I arrived. In fact even before I arrived, the messages were so helpful and then a very welcome cuppa when I arrived. Their local knowledge was so helpful and I saw a few special places thanks to their suggestions. Breakfast was 5 stars...best meal I have had since I started travelling.

Staying at Mill Lodge in Brecon Beacons was amazing! The host greeted us warmly, and the rooms were super comfy and spacious, with great showers. But the best part? Kelvin cooked up a Michelin’s standard breakfast that looked and tasted like it came straight out of a fancy chef's kitchen.

Excellent location for exploring the Brecon Becons. Beautiful property & very comfortable rooms. (2nd visit) Fabulous reception from Kel & Mel who made us very welcome & our stay even more special. Breakfast was amazing. Throughly recommended.

Driveway access was tricky, very steep and awkward (But not unexpected in Wales)

Access was a little tricky with roadworks but had a very helpful message before arrival about getting into the carpark so all went well.

Fabulous breakfast- host an excellent cook. Loved the photographs displayed as well. Really nicely done

The property was amazing! Very clean. Shower was incredible! The location was beautiful, in a small village close to a couple of local pubs and the canal. The area was peaceful and quiet. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate was available in our room along with a packet of Welsh cakes. Kelvin cooked us breakfast during our stay and it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had (smoked salmon and a poached egg on toast, with hollandaise sauce and a side of asparagus). During our stay, Kelvin also helped us planning our days out and gave us recommendations on how to make our adventures in Brecon even better. When we came back from the Four Waterfalls walk, our walking boots were soaking wet, and Mel kindly dried them downstairs for us. We would definitely come back here again!

Location is excellent - pubs, cafes and restaurants nearby. Lots of varied walking in doorstep. The history of a Nation closeby with Ironworks, canals, pits.

Amazing property and surroundings. Host was very accommodating and provided a great experience for us. When we arrived we couldn’t open our boot, however the host was able to help us and managed to open it. Overall great experience, would definitely stay here again!

Had a warm welcome from Kelvin when we arrived at his home, spacious room with en-suite. There are few nice places to eat within walking distance. We had to be up early the next day so thought we were going to miss breakfast but Kelvin got up early and cooked us a fantastic full English breakfast. Amazing host would highly recommend staying here. Secure off street parking too !
