Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MaltaHotel definitely needs to be refurbished. Curtain in room was undone, half hanging. I had to report this to reception to get fixed. This means that House Keeper is not inspecting rooms at all.
We booked room only. Since we are millennium members, we were upgraded for early check-in. Check-out facilities are more than exceptable.

ThailandThe hotel room facilities are old such as room key, air condition and heater are manually manage. My sister room can not adjust the air condition on her first night it had hot air all night and that reaaly can suffocated. But after telling the front reception the problem had been fixed. My bathroom has heat rack broken. Room is quite dark for my taste. The housekeeper are not very keen to clean up the room and the cleanliness of housekeeper team does not met my standard. I don’t like the bathroom door which is sliding door that all the dust and dirty stuff get stuck and the end of the door stoper. I can actually see that stained carpet in that area. No slipper provided and it feel so bad walking on that carpet without your slipper. I have to wear my sneaker to walk around the room because I did not take my own slipper to my London trip. It cold in Febuary in London who will take a slipper with them. There are 2 elavators but can be use only one which make it so much troubles waiting to go between floor. You have to wait like 10mins to catch the elevator.
Great location. Reception staffs are nice and helping when you asking for help. Breakfast is fine not too many variety of food but bad.

SingaporeThe bathroom & bedroom were miserably small. The plugs were located below the study table & I had to crawl underneath to charge my phone. The hairdryer did not work well. The staff was not responsive. Needed to nudge them 3 times over the damaged chain lock & high temperatures in the room before something was done. The breakfast spread never changed over the 7 mornings I was there. The 2 wastepaper baskets were not emptied on one night. The coffee capsules were not replenished. The only selling point of this hotel is the good location. Other than that, its service & cleanliness cannot match that of the Singapore head office.

United KingdomRoom was ok, but bathroom with sliding door and no sound proofing at all, so not ideal. Room sound proofing was appalling and I could hear our neighbours all night and talking during the day. Had a club room, no robes or slippers as promised and nets on windows had holes in them. Breakfast is awful, so didn't bother on the second morning. Hot food trays seemed to be empty most of the time and pastries were hard and not nice to eat.
For visiting London the location is excellent. We had dinner plans in Belgravia so the location was superb. Walking distance to Harrods and many store, plus many other London tourist hot spots
