How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room was very clean but very dated need's a refund lighting very dim whole thing was a little depressing.
Food was good,and breakfast staff were really good all the staff were very good lovely pub.

Nothing. Ticked all the boxes for us. We were warned we would hear a private party as we had the room next to the revenue. But as promised stopped dead at midnight. So didnt really impact on us.
Very cosy, excellent value breakfast. Yes rooms are a little dated. But comfortable and clean.

Great value for money, location ideal to the wedding venue we went to, staff were lovely and really friendly.

Great staff who made us feel welcome and looked after, even while coping really with a very busy night. Great atmosphere despite a very mixed crowd/group of customers.

Another nonicecream chocolate dessert choice would have been welcome. Thankfully not too much traffic but we were woken by it several times. Room was a little tired, very clean apart from little things like light fittings in corridor. Couple of biscuits each wouldve been nice. Breakfast coffee was awful. Breakfast nice but no mushrooms on my English :( full ashtrays outside not nice
Fab place we met friends for a meal and sat by water wheel so relaxing. Evening meal was lovely. The hotel was all christmassy. Bed comfortable and room very clean and satisfactory size and amenities. Professional and friendly Reception house keeping and bar staff

Had to wait in reception and ring the bell before someone came from the pub to check us in, and when we needed some additional coffee we had to wait a while. The rooms are rather noisy from the pub, but the music was switched off at 11pm and there wasn't much noise after that
Beautiful room and bathroom, Large car park, friendly staff, clean exterior. The rooms were on the smaller side but perfect for a one-night stay.

No hot water so had to have a cold shower. Also other guest next to my room was up till 5am making lots of noise think should have a time set to guest no noise after 11pm sounded like they were having a party banging laughing load and talking very loudly.

Minor issues, traffic noise, harder bed than am used to
Warm, welcoming, really impressed, fantastic value. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Room was very nice. Facilities great. We would definitely return

We stayed for an evening meal and breakfast, one of the staff never smiled, looked miserable and really couldn’t be bothered with her job. Which was a shame for the lovely staff that were there. Breakfast wasn’t very hot just lukewarm when brought to table but ample helpings. Shower in room wasn’t very strong.
Most staff were friendly helpful and served with a smile. The bed and pillows were very comfy and sheets spotlessly clean as was the room and bathroom. Food was very tasty in the evening.

The toilet had a slow flush. No major issue and I'm sure it'll be sorted.
Good food, excellent service. Perfect location close to Mallory Park circuit. The staff were very helpful posting our coats home after we left them in the room.

Clean and comfy room, excellent breakfast with lots of options, we also had a lovely evening meal here. We loved the Mill and features, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would deffo stay again.

We were happy will the stay. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Our breakfast was excellent.
The room was comfortable. The bar/dining area was comfortable and welcoming.
