Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy mum is disabled and this is not a complaint - just a suggestion - if you were able to supply a portable over toilet seat raiser or to put up some thing to grip onto near the loos this would help older and disabled guests and a step free shower when you replace the one in one of the bathrooms . We couldn't walk around but it was wonderful for my elderly mum to spend time so close to nature and I can see how much others who don't get out in nature as much due to disability would love to stay here.
This is a lovely place to stay - a proper farm - not an ex farm now using their land differently. It was wonderful to see the hens passing our window , the donkeys sitting up in the filed like Eeyore, the abundance of cows, calves, sheep and lambs and goats and the endless rolling fields , rusty gates and cattle grids. The cottage was very good . I particularly liked the fact that its was spotlessly clean and the characterful touches like the damask table cloth on the kitchen table and china tea set along with the more modern crockery , glassware and kitchen equipment. Took me back to my childhood when I lived on a farm with family whilst our new home was being built - you could feel that this was a family farm with a long history - Its lovely and great for families with children too.

IrelandIt's not a problem, but it is very much a working farm and you'll need wellies/good boots to move around the farmyard.
Friendly welcome (with cake!) and very family-friendly. The houses were cosy and the kids were fascinated by the farm and the animals, and it was a short drive to lots of places of interest.

United KingdomThe only point I would mention is as its a dog friendly cottage, it would be useful to have a fence round the patio area so the dogs could be let out without having to put leads on and go with them.

United KingdomNothing really. It seems in the middle of nowhere but it isn't. Lovely to see a real working farm.
The owners are very efficient. They dealt with my emails quickly and answered the queries. The cottage was large and would go back. Sadly we were there for a funeral but lots to see nearby.

United KingdomThe corn store cottage was lovely, but it is on a working farm and right next to the cow barn. Therefore there is some noise and smell.
It was a lovely cottage, well equipped and clean. It was nice to be able to go and see the cow, pigs, donkeys and rabbits. The farm dogs were very friendly and like a fuss. The host was on site and very friendly.

AustraliaNothing really. At some point one evening, the internet connection was pretty wobbly, it seems when all the cabins were occupied.
Beautifully decorated and well equipped cabins. Hosts were generous in making sure most needs were thought of. Supplies provided went above and beyond those found in some impersonal, company run accommodations. Area was quiet and private. Sheep next door very friendly.

United KingdomAll the rooms except the bedrooms had a TV, not a major issue but would of been nice to have a TV in at least 1 of the main bedrooms but wasn’t an issue.
The location was very quiet & peaceful, the property was absolutely stunning & soon felt like home. Woke up to a surprise sweet treat left by the doorstep which made our day. No problems within the property so was no need to call on staff. Would definitely like to make it a regular stay to unwind from the reality of life

United KingdomNot a dislike, but more of a recommendation, maybe look at a possibility of a small washing machine to use. Understandably that will be down to time at the location and activities undertaken.
It was great to see all the animals on the farm, and even better you could go around the farm and pet some of them.
