How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment was immaculate. Clean and very comfortable. The area was quiet and felt safe as a lone traveller. Including basics for breakfast was an added bonus. Communication with the hosts vis the app was timely, helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again

Hard to find in the dark and rain, and it took a while to work out the key pad for access.
Very comfortable and very well equipped. No complaints at all. I would have liked to stay longer.

Perfect alternative to expensive, impersonal airport hotels. Very easy to get to by public transport and short walk from station. Nice quiet residential area with plenty of shops and cafes in walking distance. Wonderful hosts, very helpful and they thought of everything to make your stay even nicer. They kindly stocked the kitchenette with bread, cereals, fresh milk etc and everything was sparkling clean. Highly recommended

There were only 2 things: the bed is too soft, so it slumps in the middle; there were a couple of people taking a shower in the main residence right above us between midnight and 1am and it was louder than showering in our en-suite. I guess insulation isn't great, but still it isn't an issue only the timing was unfortunate as it woke us up.
Keeping in touch before and after our stay, very caring. The place is spacious and clean. We stayed overnight to catch an early flight. Its 12 minute drive to the airport. The snacks provided for breakfast were a nice touch.

A lovely, well equipped, exceptionally clean and comfortable place to rest. Close to the airport. Loved the quirky art work, and the breakfast cereals, bread, jams, coffee are a great touch. Great attention to detail.

The bed was a little soft for our liking memory foam wouldn't be our personal choice. The bathroom fan was very loud but luckily we found the switch under the kitchen sink otherwise we wouldn't have slept. Small issues and wouldn't prevent us staying again
Beautiful decor and nice layout. We felt very at home during our stay. Fully equipped for all your needs. We were pleasantly surprised to find some condiments in the kitchen such as nice jams, bread, milk and a selection of teas and coffees. In addition some nice shampoos etc in the bathroom.

Everything was perfect. Great communication with the host prior to the stay. Warm and comfortable room and lots of little extras like bread, milk, cereal and preserves for a quick breakfast.

Very warm and inviting. Great location. Beautifully clean. Such a comfortable bed. Amazing shower. All tge extra touches, from tge selection of teas to little pots of jam and honey.The hosts kept us well informed and made sure all was OK when we arrived. We Will definitely stay again.

Pefectly presented studio, every facility available. It was clear that the owners had really considered their guests potential requirements. Ate well in the town at the Wood Grill, slept like babies ready for a short, back road drive to the Airport (9 mins) the following morning. Will definitley use again!
