Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly one lift, so used by housekeeping and therefore often had to wait. Room was quite noisy at the front side of the hotel, previous rooms (at the back of the hotel) much quieter.
I've stayed here before and it's a very good hotel. Great location for London, handy for my work, short walk from a tube station. Great room: bright, clean, good layout with plenty of space.

RomaniaCleaning lady disposing off a full bottle of water which was deposited on the floor, next to the bed. Bathroom door latch would not catch, so the door would only be securely closed if the lock was used.
Pleasant staff, very responsive when approached on any issue. Rooms well kept, as well as the hallways and other common areas. Practical bathroom arrangement with easy to reach hot-rack for drying towels; carefully executed floor inclination for the walk-in shower, insuring no water escapes the drain. Hot water coming on in seconds. Not much street noise penetrating the double windows on the fourth floor (apart from the occasional sirens).

United KingdomLovely boutique hotel, all staff warm and friendly, in a great location, a great little bar area that is used for breakfast, although we did not have any as we wanted to eat out, but we did use it for a few drinks in the evening. Room was great, bed super comfortable and large bathroom with nice toiletries.

IrelandThe breakfast was not off a good standard unfortunately. We paid for breakfast for our 2 night stay but only ate on the first morning, The toast was cold and poacheds eggs just ok but the muffin eggs served on was either stale or defrosted but again cold however the tea was and pastry was very nice , and it would not deter me from staying in the Morton Hotel on my next visit to London, Many thanks to all the helpful staff

United KingdomThe room and particularly the bathroom was far too cold and unresponsive to raising the temperature. Access on arrival was difficult with poor signage-we pressed all buzzers which led to someone coming from around the building to let us in.The wrong room price was debited to my account but hopefully a refund will work its way through the system.
The location was good within walking distance of the British Museum and the British Library-also the underground station is just round the corner. The building is attractive and the atmosphere was calm and the interior decoration was tasteful and understated. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and spacious.

United StatesConstruction is being done on the attached building so certain rooms are very noisy. Internet cuts itself off unless you are constantly using phone. Very limited breakfast options.
The hotel is updated and well located. It's in good condition, generally. I like the large walk in shower. Cleaning staff does a very good job cleaning the rooms each day.

United KingdomThe experience on arrival wasn't great. Even though we were typical arrival time (late afternoon), we had to buzz the door twice to get in, then long wait for lift (stairway locked until you have key so at that point you are trapped in small reception with no option but to wait for lift). Lift arrived rammed with laundry bags and barely enough space for us. Then had to wait several minutes at check-in for receptionist (who double as bar staff) to very slowly make a G&T for someone (involved having to walk somewhere else to get ice I think). Reception area was also littered with laundry bags and noisy staff hub. Completely different experience the next morning though (all very professional and rapid).
The room was nice: a big room in central London. That corner of Russel Square is busy, but on 4th floor the noise was fine. There's not many rooms per floor so hotel was pretty quiet overall. There's a branch of Leon nearby which is good for allergen-aware breakfast, and small supermarkets also very close.

United KingdomParts of bedroom were showing age e.g. bathroom tiles, bed was peeling, etc. Pillows weren’t the comfiest but they sufficed. There was a strong smell of perfume throughout the corridors that irritated our noses. Couldn’t access the TV guide. The windows were also paper thin so they let a lot of sound in. Cold air also seeped through but that didn’t affect the general warmth of the room with the curtains closed.
Nice hotel, great transport links being next to the Piccadilly line. Nice cafes, restaurants and pubs nearby. Staff were polite, facilities were nice. Bedroom was a good size for a weekend stay. Hotel had great interior. Lift was frequent. Check in / out was simple. Provided nice accessories e.g. ear buds, shower cap, etc. The bedroom was also well heated.
