Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaEverything was amazing. If you didn’t have a car it would be a bit of a walk into town but definitely still doable and the views and the high quality of accommodation more than make up for this.
Lovely hosts and great views. Fantastic self serve breakfast options in room.

United KingdomFrom the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and at home. The room was lovely and completely spotless. Everything was done to a high standard. There was a lovely selection of cereal, toast and other snacks including grapes and yoghurts, juice water and milk in a fridge. In the mornings Sheena made us freshly baked croissants, which were amazing. The WiFi was great and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay or service. I would definitely recommend!

United KingdomWe stayed for 2 nights for our honeymoon whilst visiting the Antrim Coast. I work for a travel company and have been lucky enough to stay in luxurious accommodations across the world, and I have to say this is the best b&b ever! So clean, Sionagh is amazing, we loved the continental breakfast, and the location is perfect close to many wonderful sights. Harry's restaurant is great a short walk away. 100% recommended.

NetherlandsWhen the room next to us was occupied it was a bit noisy (you could hear each other talk, not literally but like muffled speaking noises). It only bothered us a bit 1 out of the 3 nights and it stopped around 23:00, therefore not a major problem.
Friendly host Nice breakfast Great location and an Amazing view from the room. The room was large and even had a little area to sit (table and 2 stairs) which was nice. And the bed was comfortable.

IrelandThe room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. We had a sea and cliff view from one window and a beautiful peak out the other (which we climbed one of the days). It is located on the coast in the heart of the Antrim glens with stunning scenery in every direction. Cushendall itself is lovely, beautiful beaches on either side and mountains to the rear. Breakfast facilities were perfect and our room was cleaned and restocked every day without fail. Sionadh, who runs it with her husband was lovely and gave us some great information about the local area and things to do. Would definitely stay here next time I'm visiting the area as it's so comfortable and so close to so many beautiful places of interest.

United StatesYou are in a room in a house which means you’ll hear noises from other parts of the house. Also, with the windows open you’ll hear outside activities with cars pulling into the driveway etc. but fortunately the windows are double-pane insulated so closing them shuts out any distractions.
The room and bathroom were in perfect condition. Spotless. Everything needed was there. The breakfast was prepared in advance in numerous containers with meats and cheeses, milk, yoghurt, a hard boiled egg, granola, cereals, bread slices, fruits and croissant. That meant you could have it anytime or eat only some of the items at a time. I thought this was a very novel idea and it worked well for me during my two-day stay. The setting is amongst some other homes in a residential neighborhood but you’ve got nothing but verdant fields with grazing animals as well and some hills in the distance. It’s a very tranquil view.

FranceNothing due to Sionagh or the room, just a certain lack of buses (almost no bus before 10am and after 5pm and no service on Sundays) which makes things more difficult when you are travelling on foot like me but Sionagh was kind enough to drive on a Sunday to Glenariff Forest Park which was very nice of her.
I really had a good time at Sionagh's, the room was perfect with great facilities and a very comfortable bed. Everything was spotless and the breakfast was amazing with a lot of choice and the possibility to take it at anytime thanks to the small fridge inside the room. Sionagh's house is located in a nice village with a lot of different walks and beautiful views and landscapes which is ideal.
