Location is unbeatable, a minutes walk and you're on newcastle main street. Helena goes above and beyond what a host needs to do. So many small personal touches like toys for the kids, toiletries even headache tablets for people. She's an exceptional host. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

The property was spotless when we arrived, Helena was so lovely and had made the place feel like a home away from home leaving some toys for the kids and putting kids bedsheets on etc. The house is right in the centre of everything so was so handy to get around! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay, we were sad to leave and hope to be back again!

Our host was so attentive to our needs , the location was central to everything, the house was spotless clean with private car parking . Because it was Christmas our host ,Helen , left lots of little Christmas touches throughout the house which was very thoughtful and kind of her.

Besides the location being perfect, just a few minutes walk to beach, restaurants, shops etc yet quietly located in a residential area. Helena was an outstanding host.. her attention to detail and welcome pack was exceptional. No rushing to shops to get bread, milk and those little toiletries we all forget to pack, everything was waiting for us. Helena contacted us before arrival to check which type of bed cover our little boy would like! Sounds trivial but to the parents of a special Needs child who’s never slept in a bed alone this was priceless, huge success as he slept there all night. Not to mention the balloons and banners for his birthday.. Helena took the stress and anxiety away so that our trip went smoothly and that’s exactly what happened. Thanks so much we will definitely be back. X

The only thing that would be better is to make more than 24hrs in a day so my stay would be longer!!

This is not the first time I have stayed in Mountain View and I love the house. There is a large back garden with a patio area, fast Wi-Fi and all the other creature comforts you could ask for. The owner (Helena) is very friendly and leaves you a little welcome basket of goods for your arrival (bread, milk, buns and other treats). The location is first class, just 100yds or less to the main promenade with all the restaurants and shops etc. The house is lays immaculately presented and Helena is easy to contact should you ever need her advice or recommendations. I will be coming here again as myself and my son love it here.

I can't recommend Mountain View highly enough , Location was superb only a few hundred yards from the promenade and it was spotlessly clean . Helena also went above and beyond what you would expect from a host with a welcome pack and also some nice trappings for a milestone birthday one of our party were celebrating .

Lovely house in a beautiful location. Helena is a great host, getting in touch before our arrival and answering any queries. We arrived late in the evening and collected the key from a lockbox, which worked really well. Helena had provided towels, milk, bread and other small food items as well as toilet roll and spare toiletries in the bathroom. The house itself is lovely, clean and really well equipped, the attention to detail and all the little extras that Helena provides are what make it a real home away from home. Highly recommend!

sharing a driveway with the local law firm next door but it was no bother really - lots of parking opposite the house also!
