The bathroom door in our room did not have a lock and kept opening. The maid unexpectedly came and opened our room door when we were in bed prior to breakfast and startled us about 7.30am! Furniture was very dark and out of date. Curtains very old fashioned. Lift needed repaired/updated. Damp Stain on ceiling needed sorting. Shower not very warm and water jets not very powerful.

Breakfast was good. Lovely window view overlooking the Coast. Sun was shining over the water. Very relaxing. Liked bottles of both sparkling and still water left in our room upon arrival. Staff nice and helpful. Location was very good.

To my preference - the hardest, most uncomfortable pillows I’ve ever had. And although the shower warned of extremely hot water, I unfortunately had no hot water just intermittent warm temperature

Very large room which was fantastic and the view was excellent...Only one heater in a large room which wasn't enough to heat the room.The very large bed was very good and very comfortable.Clean and most enjoyable stay.Didnt like menu in dining room for evening meals.No choice of british food.Didnt serve beer from a pump either only bottled.Staff very very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice x

The curtains even though they were pretty and looked nice, they let in a lot of light in fact you could see through them in parts totally unsuitable for a bedroom unless you put blinds up at the window. As it is an old building the ceilings are high so the bedroom was cold, the heater was not suitable for the size of the room and couldn't be turned on full. The duvet was thin and not warm. Glory in reception kindly found us a couple of blankets which kept us warm and slept ok (having to sleep under covers to keep out light! but if you are not light sensitive, like my husband, you will be ok).

Nice sea view room, large comfy bed but room was cold, lounge downstairs warm. Husband liked the magnifying mirror for shaving. Big hotel lovely decor in lounge and dining area. Good buffet style breakfast, large selection of hot and cold food. Tea cups very small, would have liked a small teapot. Glory on reception was very pleasant and helpful lady. Good parking at rear of hotel, quiet area in evening. Good location .

I booked the hotel as it had a pool. I had checked my booking on the the Booking.com website the week before my visit and it mentioned the pool was closed for repair. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that the pool was open, however, we did not have our swimming costumes so were unable to swim.

The hotel is nice and our room was clean and spacious. The staff at the main desk/bar were very friendly.

Toast machine not set up properly, so either black toast or white bread, when the control dials are missing/removed, you know your gonna have a problem. Business people wont like this delay.

Be careful cause the the beds od some double rooms are not double, but just semidouble. We said that to the reception and they moved us to another room. So the photos with big beds are misleading.

The TV in my room didn't work, so had to faff around to get it fixed. The pool was also closed

The breakfast is great, good condition coffee and fab selection of hot and cold foods. The location isnt too far from the ferry terminal. An overall comfy stay
