We had a very warm welcome as the offer of tea and lemon drizzle cake was much appreciated after our long drive. The high standard of cleanliness impressed. The bed was so comfortable. Everything was perfect.

An amazing warm friendly welcome. We were immediately made to feel at home by Neil and Tyrone. The cottage is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location in the centre of the pretty town of Porlock is perfect. Myrtle cottage has a beautiful garden which you are able to sit in and enjoy and even on one day we had our breakfast in the garden. Oh yes, the breakfast...amazing, beautifully presented perfectly cooked, great selection. The rooms were well equipped and full of character, as it is obviously in a quaint cottage they are not big but they are well organised and super comfy beds and lovely bathroom. We will always think of the friendly atmosphere and when in the area again will definitely want to stay here.

We loved our stay at Myrtle Cottage, wished we had have booked longer. Tyrone and Neil are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy and comfortable. I can’t recommend this B&B enough every little detail has been considered, would stay again in a heartbeat

The fact I only stayed one night! I booked this stay to break up a long journey, but both Myrtle cottage and the surrounding area deserve a longer visit, so I plan to return with my wife.

Perfect stay in a central location close to amenities. Would stay again.

The room was beautifully decorated and we were welcomed by the lovely hosts. We sat in the garden after we arrived and before we went to dinner at the Ship pub just over the road, which is very convenient. The beds are comfortable with lovely, smooth sheets and there is tea and coffee and biscuits in the room, a hairdryer and very clean shower room. The hosts welcomed my dog and even gave her a dog treat.

We loved absolutely everything about the property. There is nothing to not like. Tyrone and Neil have thought of every little detail to ensure their guests have the best stay possible. They are a great team and are the perfect hosts.

Beautifully appointed room, comfy bed with tea and coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits! and complimentary chocolates too! Tyrone couldn’t have been sweeter and more accommodating, despite my late arrival (I kept in touch by phone to let them know ahead of time; they were so helpful!). Breakfast was really generous and delicious too, so so grateful! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A very nice welcome by Tyrone. Friendly and helpful with a clear focus on customer satisfaction. Cottage, room and communal facilities were very nice and in good condition. Breakfast was very good with a perfectly cooked poached egg! Convenient location with shop, pubs and restaurants near by.

Such a shame that I had to move on after just one night. Can't decide which was lovelier: the cottage itself, the hosts, the cosy garden or the delicious breakfast. It was just all great and I felt immediately welcomed once I stepped through the door. Absolutely recommended. :)

Having now walked the majority of the South West Coast Path have to say our stay here has to be one of the best. A lovely comfortable room, amazing shower. This quaint little B&B was smack bang in the middle of the village. Prefect stop off for those walking the coastal path with a lovely little pub around the corner for dinner. The hosts were amazingly friendly with great attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious with tasty homemade cake on offer on arrival.

Lovely welcome as we arrived at Myrtle cottage. Cosy clean room and it felt like home from home. Excellent location and the hosts were so helpful and friendly. Lovely personal touches and a really tasty vegetarian breakfast which I requested. Only wished we had booked another night. Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day.
