Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFor a national sporting centre, I was surprised that the gym didn't open until 6:45am. If you prefer exercising in the evening, the gym however is open until 10pm. If you need a hair dryer, make sure to ask at reception on check-in as they're not provided in the room.
The hotel did the job nicely for a couple of days. The rooms are reasonably basic but have everything that you need. Plenty of space, hot showers, tea/coffee, clean and comfy. The breakfast is functional - nothing standout but it does the job. Nice location next to the lake if you want to go for a walk/run and easy to park.

CanadaWe arrived late, and the only option for food was chips at the bar or to Uber food in. It would have been nice to just be able to purchase a sandwich, or something light.
Free Parking It was across from a nice walking trail. Breakfast included.

United KingdomWe were in ground floor rooms, and there were only curtains at the windows, so for privacy it was necessary to close them and switch the lights on, it would have been nice to have had something like a net curtain or a blind to enable both privacy and natural light
The rooms were clean especially the shower, the beds were very large, and the whole room was presented well. The breakfast buffet was generous, with plenty of choices both hot and cold, and the dishes were kept well stocked.. We didn’t have any other meals there built they seemed to offer a reasonable selection of sensibly priced snacks and light lunches, with the option of having other meals delivered.

United KingdomI struggled to use the outside key pad as it was poorly lit. No issue in the daylight. Nothing else. Walk from train station at night through a dimly lit path besides hedges and courts was a little intimidating. No issues though.
Great TV with SkySports in the rooms and bar. Food can be delivered and eat in the bar. Comfortable big bed Austrian twin. Shower only was good. Badminton pictures on wall. Breakfast included was fine and basic (as expected). Good view of the badminton courts from near the breakfast room. Easy to find, plenty of parking.

United KingdomI use crutches and was disappointed that when I checked in that the gentleman didn't move me to a ground floor room as there was no lift. Or, if they weren't available, he could have said as much. I subsequently had to ask another guest to take my bags up and down the stairs.
It was cheap and cheerful. The room was spacious and comfortable, shower good. Thank you.

United KingdomI’m a light sleeper and walls seemed paper thin so that any noise from the adjoining room sounded like it was in my room, eg someone having a shower or going the toilet. It wouldn’t put me off as I wake up early anyway, I’ll just request a room at the end of the upstairs corridor ! Also no food in the evening but I tend to go out anyway and you can order take away and eat it in the bar if you want.
Good value - much cheaper than hotels in the centre of MK. Gym is excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice size, bed was massive and very comfortable, bathroom was newly refurbished and lovely.
