My room was on the same side as the road so some traffic noise. It wasn’t bad but I am not used to traffic noise at all. The reception on the tv was a bit sketchy but wasn’t an issue as I wasn’t in my room long enough to be watching it.

It’s an old property so a bit dated in parts but lovely and comfortable. Staff could not have given me a warmer welcome and were all pleasant, helpful and just lovely. Nothing was any trouble. My room had everything I needed and was warm and comfortable. Food is also to be recommended.

Such a cute place! The room was big and clean! There was a little cafe and bar downstairs and the food was very good! They offer a massive breakfast for only 8£pp! Great place! Staff was super friendly and helpful!

It’s an absolute wonderful place to stay, with the best bed I’ve slept in in the last decades. The staff is welcoming and friendly and they do everything possible to make it a good stay. The food served in the restaurant is amazing as well. This place is definitely worth a visit. Right outside is a bus station, heading to Edinburgh takes you depending on the line between 50 and 70 minutes through a nice landscape for only 2£.

As we were going to a wedding I would have loved a bigger mirror in the room but maybe that was just our room as it was a small.

Really cosy, friendly hotel. The room we were in for breakfast was lovely looking out onto the garden. Our room was comfortable and was perfect for us.

The room was a lovely comfortable room and good tea coffee facilities, breakfast was so gd it really was and it was a big breakfast and fantastic value the grounds of the hotel are great and there is gd parking space ,staff were all very friendly and nothing was a trouble for them we would happily stay here again 😀

The bedroom was rather cold but it was -5 outside so not surprising. Soon got warm as the bed quilts were fantastic.

We had a couple of very good meals in the restaurant and the breakfasts were enormous and varied. The location was very quite and rural with good access to Edinburgh.

Perhaps more lights on lead to door that’s a small negative from me as I was leaving early in the morning when it was dark and arriving back when it was dark as a loan female.

The property was very clean and comfortable I had water/ tea/coffee/ biscuits in room each day. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of towels. Staff very friendly. The hotel was only 6 minutes from my venue.

It’s a very lovely stay! The house is only 45 mins away from Edinburgh centre so very convenient and also very quiet around. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We got some food from outside and although the kitchen was closed, she helped us heat it up and even put it on a nice tray and get us some ketchup :) We slept really well. The room felt very cosy like grandma home and had everything we needed. The price was amazing too. Would recommend it to everyone really!

Bedroom was small and next to bar area on ground floor. Bathroom attachments kept falling off wall as not permanently fitted.
