The mattress in our cottage was a bit thin.

What I liked most were the never ending gardens where both us and our German Shepherd dog were over the moon. The food was good too and the staff very attentive.

No access to pool/jacuzzi facilities - only one room has access. Toiletries in the bathroom should be provided and they really need to change the mattress! More vegetarian/vegan options on the menu would be great. They could also do with turning off/down the music that's played throughout the hotel after 10pm as I could hear it in my room.

Such a regal and spectacular building. Reception staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The entrance and main hall is phenomenal. My room was a very spacious suite in the main building. It was missing extras such as toiletries and could’ve done with a bath tub. The building was very warm and unfortunately, the mattress was rock hard and I now have a bad back from it. Besides that, the restaurant was very formal but brilliant food. Breakfast was hosted in what I imagine is the old kitchen/servants quarter. Coffee was great but they took quite a while with serving hot food. It would’ve been nice to have had it in the dining room. Overall a very pleasant stay but I probably wouldn’t stay again due to the mattress being rock hard.

Some minor points like sockets in the room need some attention and small repairs to some of the fabrics and socket near dressing table for hair dryer required. Information in the room Re wifi code and phone not working in the room.

Just one thing would have made it better, although it was self catered, toiletries and cleaning materials for the kitchen were provided, it would have been nice to have a small amount of coffee, tea and milk just to allow us to have a hot drink when we arrived

Beautiful setting, we had a cottage in the grounds and it was very spacious , excellent facilities

Check out was 10am. Both sofas grubby and showing signs of significant wear. Cooker controls.

Cottages well laid out. Very roomy 2 bed both ensuite. Quiet and peaceful. Access to grounds and lake for leisurely walk. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Resolved issue with TV promptly.

No complaints whatsoever - I had a great time. The overflow car park was a little muddy due to the inclement weather (but who can control the weather, or where birds decide to showcase their Jackson Pollock abilities on windscreens?)

Location, long (front entrance) driveway, beautiful and peaceful grounds, abundance of free parking. The Hall itself is very elegant and the rooms (or at least the one I stayed in) are really lovely, large, with a dressing room, little bonus touches.

The bed in our first cottage was paper thin and behind uncomfortable. There were a lot of dead bugs in the dining room and even one in my glass The breakfasts table had been cleaned but a used glass left for the new diner to us

The house and grounds in general are beautiful. We stayed for a wedding which was the polar opposite to our first nights stay. The food was incredible, staff service throughout our stay was perfect b it the cottage room (5) and dining experience the night before let it down. Room 14 however very well kept and really comfy bed.

WiFi isn’t great, so didn’t rely on using it. Need a full length mirror in the room. Particularly important when wedding guests are staying!
