The kitchen window did not completely close. You need to walk a long aisle before getting to the elevators. Only one elevator worked.

No air conditioning, lift was very slow and I recall one not working.

Great location, easy walk to Harrods. Had everything we needed for a weekend in London at a reasonable price.

1) The room is so small we literally can’t move much without putting our bags inside the closet. 2) The mattress is so uncomfortable because i felt the metal part of the mattress is pressing against my back. Once, i got a bruised thigh when i turned around, due to this metal part under the mattress. It’s horrible i can’t sleep well. They changed the mattress, but it only improved a bit.

it’s so close to the South Kensington Station, you can walk to Harrods, supermarket is 2 mins. away.

The old Crittal windows! A listed feature I'm assuming? Several didn't shut properly and there was absolutely NO sound insulation from the very noisy main road outside, which we found greatly reduced the pleasure of our stay. Would it not be possible - if windows can't be removed - to fit secondary glazing for better sound and heat insulation?

Room and facilities were excellent just what we needed for a 1 night stay.

The room was street side, so noise from road made it impossible to sleep Friday into Saturday. Saturday into Sunday was a little quieter.

The location was good for London, nearest station was South Kensington. Facilities in room were good, fridge, cooker etc and utensils. Staff were nice and we could leave our luggage in ahead of check in, which is at 3pm.

House keeping on arrival was not comprehensive. Found a used condom/tissues in the bathroom waste bin !!! My room (and I guess many appartments had clothes washing machines) but Reception Mgt showed NO initiative to support customers with washing powder (small zip-lock bags with 1-2 scoops of wash powder for sale at say £1-2) but tell you to go to the supermarket next door and buy a 3.5-7kg bulk box of wash powder for 1x wash. Marks for Hotel initiative - sadly zero.

The corridors are not clean, lifts could works better

Location is perfect. The hotel looks rubish from the outside, the same corridors but the rooms are ok, clean and bright (at least mine). There are 4 lifts but only 3 were available so in case all rooms are booked it could be the problem. We reached our room on 8th floor usually using stairs but for older people or with luggage is the potential problem.

The building on the street side had old school windows, just metal frames with glass one layered. So all the street noise and moisture comes in. And the walls around windows were moldy.

Security aspects could be better. more showing more upfront. I didn't see much except front desk eyes on the floor!

The Practical aspects of a long stay concept in London should include Chelsea Cloisters as a proper location in Chelsea with ample food sources as the kitchenette is strong enough to cook and do you own thing. It's smallish but with a clothing washing machine, it serves its purpose very well. The facility overall is undergoing upgrades, a new Elevator is in store (only 1 working) . and the teams that clean and keep it fresh are worthy! Security? it is an open door policy meaning I dont really see security guards but they may be there. The security on the private doors is worthy, but not 100% based on 4 star hotels.
