How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great location close to centre and station. The house is lovely- comfortable, tastefully modernised and had everything you need. Cheap parking right opposite Jacob was very prompt to answer any questions and was very helpful I would definitely recommend and we will return

Absolutely loved it, was a little hesitant as normally stay in hotels, but this was so much better, especially for longer stays, and made for an awesome birthday holiday with a friend. Would 100% stay again

Just a minor point, the front bedroom didn't have any hooks or rail to hang clothes up but there's a wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom that we were able to use.
There was a lot of space and the facilities were fantastic. It was nice to have the outside space to enjoy the sunny weather.

There are no curtains on bedroom windows. It's very bright in the morning in the bedrooms. Mattres is a bit soft.

Originally booked for 5 people but 2 dropped out. Don’t think was big enough for 5 adults, so all worked out well
Good location. Lovely and clean and cosy Bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. Sauces in the cupboard. Coffee machine with coffee pods. All a nice touch- thank you Jacob

Just a couple of small things: It would have been better to have 4 chairs around the table as there were only 3. Also more information regarding parking would have been helpful. However, the host was very quick to respond to my parking query.
The property is in an excellent location to easily walk to Beverley town centre with many pubs and restaurants. The bottle of fizz on arrival was lovely and the coffee machine was a plus!

Very cosy yet stylish. Had everything we needed in the cottage and located very central to Beverley. The garden looks great but didn’t venture out there over Christmas!

We loved the property it’s been finished to a very high standard, easy to follow instructions how to work things . Very cosy and ideal location to the town . We will stay again . Only slight issue the bed needs looking at as I noticed splits around the area where it was put together. The mattress also was uncomfortable. Other than that it’s a lovely property thanks Jacob

We couldn’t find the thermostat and it was soooo warm! We eventually found it as we were leaving 😂
Clean, nicely fitted out. Complimentary coffee, cereal and even a bottle of Prosecco. Handy electric dead lock on front door. So close to flemmingate and high street.

I had a fantastic one-day stay at this apartment! The cleanliness and tidiness of the place were impressive, making me feel right at home. The thoughtful preparations, including a well-stocked coffee machine with plenty of capsules, added alot to my experience. Having four TVs in the apartment was a pleasant surprise, and the easy check-in and check-out process made my stay even more convenient.
