Beautiful old house with character, clear communication with the host, close to the town center. Pleasant warm shower after a rainy day on the bike

Liked being able to store bikes securely in the bike shed. Enjoyed being able to use the kitchen/ dining room, lounge and courtyard, especially useful as the bedrooms are compact. Everything was clean and freshly decorated, and the house has been stylishly renovated. Very helpful and friendly owners.

Very well located with a public carpark close to the property and only a few minutes walk to the river and 2 lovely pubs Secure access was available for our bicycles which was a real bonus and the property was lovely and warm with a nice homely feeling. Good communications from the owners which were very helpful.

We expected to find some basic toiletries (shampoo, shower gel) but there were none.

Clean, big bathroom, no key entry, comfortable bed, spacious bedroom, single use cups for tea and coffee.

The house was charming and has been carefully decorated to match its age, whilst still offering all mod cons. It was warm and comfortable We only stayed for one night but I would love to return for a longer period.

An issue with the heating in the first hour was quickly rectified by Craig who attended within minutes. No problems experienced after that.

Great location within a few minutes walk to the centre of Chepstow and 4 minutes to the riverside pub. Large bedrooms with excellent en-suite facilities (first floor room having a fantastic bathroom across the landing). Very comfortable king size beds.

Everything was to our satisfaction.

We had a welcome text message explaining how to access property and parking options which made our arrival simple. The property was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The shared areas (kitchen, lounge, garden) were well equipped and comfortable. En suite bedroom was fabulous.

The location of this property was ideal for the racecourse. Check-in was simple and the owners contacted us the day before we arrived with instructions. There was limited parking outside the property but a small, safe and cheap car park was located about 100m away. A residents lounge and communal kitchen were available and although we didn't use either it was a nice touch. Coffee and tea along with fresh milk and biscuits were available which were a nice touch. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean; The en-suite was spacious with a lovely shower and quality towels. There was no breakfast but we knew this when booking. A great riverside pub and an excellent Italian restaurant were a 5 minute walk away.

Very easy check in all instructions provided. Great room, comfy bed. Bathroom had plenty of space across the hallway but it's really not an issue. Kitchen facilities were spot on with use of patio table and chairs in the garden.

We didn’t realise when we booked that the Whisky room’s bathroom was separate across the landing with a keypad for entry. Maybe this detail was in the description and we missed it? A socket beside a mirror in the room would be useful.
