How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Clean, quiet room, comfortable, large double bed. Lovely breakfast, service was excellent, waitress very friendly. Overall, a very welcoming environment.

Decor. Flowery curtains and carpet. Embossed wallpaper. Bedding white and modern though. We didn’t use the pool as it’s not heated.
As everyone says, it’s exceptionally clean. Staff are lovely. Breakfast really good and sets you up for the day. Good location. Short walk to town centre. My husband compared it to Faulty Towers but in a nice way.

The staff are all very hospitable, welcoming and helpful. Exceptionally clean everywhere, well maintained. Efficient breakfast service, we didn't try the evening meals but the choices sounded good. Bus stop right outside the hotel but also easy to walk to main bus station or around St Helier, also a lovely park nearby. Dip in the outdoor pool was refreshing.

The shower wasn't great. That's about it. couldn't fault anything else.
Good facilities, nice and clean. A lot of friendly staff.large room. Never tried the pool as the weather was good and we were out and about. Good breakfast.

Sky sports in bar would have been a nice bonus!
Lovely breakfast. Nice bar with pool table and an outside area to drink in. Room nice and clean. (An unfortunate head cut caused a problem in my room but this was reported and sorted out before my departure - thank you.)

Unfortunately we were on level 2 and the room above us were very loud. Slamming drawers and very heavy on the feet. Perhaps guests should be more aware of others on floors below.

Some things are a bit too old and aren't prepared for these times. I.e. we really wanted to play pool one day while having a few drinks in the bar. However, all the machines needed cash and the only way of getting it was to go to the nearest ATM. Nothing too difficult but it definitely kills the vibe...
Great location just in the city centre and very close to almost every corner of the island (by car). Rooms were clean and the bed was big and comfortable. Breakfast was not abundant but enough to start the day with energy. Sometimes I prefer this kind of breakfast with good quality food rather than a simple "all you can eat buffet". The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nothing to dislike. We knew it wasn’t 5 star, so no fridge in room or air con but there was a fan in the room which based on the time of year we stayed was more than adequate.
Spotlessly clean in a great location. Staff friendly and polite, rooms functional and comfortable. Breakfast tasty, choice between English or continental. Parking on site. 24 hour reception. In a quiet area. Great value for money. Would stay again.

It was a little 1970s seaside hotel. But at the price a good deal and we would stay again.
A great base to explore the island, a perfectly good budget. Room size was good.

Shower was well past it's use by date. They had to come & tape it up for further use! Promised they would get a new shower head but it didn't materialize within the week. Probably parts discontinued in the 1950s!! Flush handle on loo was on left hand side & as I am right handed was quite awkward. To avoid steps into hotel I had to walk all around hotel into large car park , (rough ground) to get through a back door due to my mobility issues.
Comfortable bed. Good sized room. Lift. Helpful staff.

Some mornings the milk at breakfast was on the turn and the evening marks weren’t great We only ate there on our first night All the vegetables were out of tins or frozen but then boiled so they were all mushy and no flavour The potatoes whichever way you had them were tasteless
