Philippe is really kind and helpful. He even provided a reference for me, which could expedite my rental house hunting process. Good kitchen with rich supplies of breakfast snacks, milk and varies kinds of drinks. Bathroom is nice and clean, and shampoo and washing gels are also supplied. Very fast Wi-Fi connection.

Genuinely was not expecting it to be someone’s house. Like, the “hotel” is a normal house with locks on the doors.

The bed was pretty good, I had a good sleep fr

As we arrived when it was dark, we were a bit unsure which house it was- maybe a small sign outside could be useful?

The bed was very comfy and the location was great for us, as we were going to a friend's party up the road and just needed somewhere to sleep. It is basic, but was exactly what we needed. I would recommend to anyone staying one or two nights. Really quiet in the house too and the breakfast / juice was a nice touch :) Thanks Philippe!

Location ok. Breakfast sparse. Quite noisy and lots of activity from other guests during the night.

Ngl, the hallway of the house is a bit grimy and as such it didn't make the best first impression. There also seems to be a lack of kitchen utensils such as spatula, tongs, spaghetti scoop making cooking a bit difficult

I liked that it was a decent price, Didcot is ridiculously expensive for what it is. This is perfect for a solo traveller who is down for business purposes and wants to be able to cook their own food.

Wasn't what I expected as a B&B. Host does not live onsite. There is no home cooked breakfast. Individual rooms with shared bathroom. Communal areas not so clean. Carpet stained. Noise radiates between rooms easily.

Host was very pleasant and helpful. Bed was comfortable.

The fact that the owner communicated well with me before my arrival and couldn't do enough for me. The standard of the facilties was excellent and a range of breakfast cereals was very welcome indeed. Lots of USB ports available for charging my electrical equipment was really good.

Excellent, in-a-budget, high-quality place to stay.

Sharing the bathroom was the only problem I had as I needed to be sure was not occupied at the time I needed. But it was a small problem compared with the quality of my room and the safety of the place.

The house is a quite and comfty place to stay, and the rooms are very nice, clean and well equipped (e.g., small fridge, kettle, wardorobe, TV, comfortable bed with lots of soft pillows). I was feeling like satying in a cozy hotel - excellent and pleasant experience at the best price I could find. I was even able to meet my host, Philippe, and he was very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this lovely place at Didcot if you are in a budget and staying for a short time (I was there one week). I definitely would come back! :D

The only real problem was having to share kitchen, bathroom and toilet facilities with possibly 4 other people.

Provision for breakfast was good. The bed was excellent - large and comfortable. Location in town centre was with excellent train and bus connections. Other people in the house were interesting, pleasant and considerate.

The breakfast was pre packaged pastries and fruit which was significantly less than I expected for the price I paid. There was a shared bathroom which wasn’t clear on the advertising, and the entire time I stayed there I was unable to have a shower due to the bathroom being in use all morning until I had to leave. I also had to brush my teeth in the kitchen as the bathroom was always occupied. The owner arrived earlier than the checkout time and was knocking on the room doors so I felt pressure to leave much earlier than my check out time. Certainly not worth the price I paid, I would pay £20 or £30 a night max, it’s more like a hostel than a B and B. Overall, overly expensive and a poor stay.

The location was fairly close to the train station and near a small supermarket and takeaway for an evening meal. The bed was comfy and there was a kettle in the room for drinks which I appreciated.
