Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyGreat and comfy "glamping pod" in a secluded location, surrounded only by grass and a few goats. The hosts are very nice and super accommodating. The pod itself includes all the equipment you need to cook a nice dinner, and it's surprisingly spacious as well. Would stay again!

This place is amazing, we were looking for a secluded trip away to unwind and relax and despite the weather being damp & drizzly for the first day, this place did not disappoint, we couldn’t have asked for better break away! The cabin has everything you’d need and i cannot put into words how stunning the views are, the wildlife you get to see is incredible and if you’re a lover of animals, I highly recommend meeting the neighbours (the goats!) and if your not, you will be by the time you leave. Although it’s out of the way, it’s only a short drive to a lot of great places to visit for the day. Thank you for a perfect stay, we will 100% be back!

Literally everything ! Quirky, unique, cosy, warm and full of charm. From the get go the hosts couldn’t have done more for us in terms of making sure we were prepared for our stay and had all the info we needed. The Hut itself is actually quite luxurious and modern and couldn’t have been more comfortable. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and could just switch off and relax with the company of some adorable and friendly goats. This place is actually a steal to be honest, so happy with our stay it was bliss !

United KingdomIt was perfect for a peaceful stay away from the pressures of everyday life. Also exceptional location for stargazing. The owners were very helpful and thought of everything, lots of lovely little touches like local milk in the fridge and biscuits by the tea and coffee. Also local soap and shampoo bar provided. Just wonderful!

United KingdomThis was the perfect escape for a couple of nights! It is a beautiful cabin with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Being in the middle of nowhere, was a great reset. On our final night the weather cleared up and we could see the night sky so clearly. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and making smores.

We loved how remote it was and it had everything we needed! The views were incredible. The goats are just the cutest! We also met some adorable kids! There was plenty of wood supplied for fires and basic amenities supplied. I was surprised that it was so quiet given that it’s on a working farm, but once the door was shut the sound didn’t exist. I received messages from the hosts before the trip with driving instructions once near which really helped. Always contactable and friendly when we were looking for recommendations.

United KingdomNothing, was an amazing stay. Would advise anyone 6' plus remember to duck when walking around or getting out of bed. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow for a full view of the stars, worth a return trip for that alone.
Loved the location and the quiet, was amazing to hear the swifts on an evening. Very comfortable cabin with everything you'd need for a couple of days retreating or as a base for exploring locally. Check in and out were no problem at all with the hosts being more than accommodating and welcoming. Loved the oat biscuits on arrival.

It’s uniqueness, the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into this pod. The attention to detail is amazing and it’s such a comfortable stay. The location is perfect and it was lovely to wake up to the view and the sounds from the local animals too. We loved our neighbours i.e. the goats! They’re so friendly and funny.

United KingdomNothing - we loved our stay!
North Fell Under the Stars far exceeded our expectations. We booked because it's a dark skies area and we loved the idea of staying in a rural location whilst still being able to get out and about. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side and it rained all weekend (English summer!) but that didn't stop us having an amazing stay. We were more than cosy enough chilling next to the indoor wood stove with some home cooked food using the induction hob. There was plenty of fridge space for our nibbles and lots of room to move around the entire pod. Toiletries, towels, milk and some yummy parking biscuits had been provided to make our stay a bit more special. Communication from the hosts ahead of arrival was great too. We loved waking up and seeing the goats out in the field and we were lucky enough to spy Venus and a few stars through the clouds on our last night. We'd love to go back in the summer and experience the property all over again as I am sure it will only get better. In terms of location, we explored lots of the Northumberland Coast and found it easy to drive around. We loved our stay at North Fell Under the Stars and will definitely be back.
