Sofa bed very uncomfortable for children. Main bed mattress was good. Night time it was very hot in the room. I am not sure central A/C was set up correctly? Couldn't sleep properly

Stayed there for one night to attend all England badminton .it was very close to the venue, walking distance of 5 mins. Having carpark at the hotel was useful, we paid 18£ for 24hrs. Breakfast was good, cooked breakfast, kids liked pancakes too.

The lavatory was separate and tucked away in the corner on it's own. From a purely personal point of view it would have been more convenient for middle of the night visits if it had been in the bathroom. There was a slope across the bed! The very good breakfast was spoiled by overcooked, hard bacon.

Clean well presented hotel and room. We were given a free upgrade for our room which was a nice surprise. Staff were very pleasant and room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was excellent.

Steam room/sauna really too small and as in Brussels one room out of order, showers and changing facilities rather inadequate.

The taxi we booked through the hotel was very late and we had to rebook. But they did their best to get it sorted.

The staff were super friendly and the childrens gifts and game area were a winner after long travels. Very accommodating of my therapy dog. The breakfast was decent value and with lots of options. Good kids meal box in evening. Room was decent value and size for family.

I found the mattress uncomfortable so didnt sleep well and the room was a bit too warm for me. I didnt like that in addition to paying for the room and breakfast that I had to pay an additional £18 to park my car in the hotel car park particularly after being told when I rang the hotel to make enquiries that there wouldn't be an additional charge.

The room was lovely. The breakfast was exceptional, everything you could possible want was available. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We were going to an event at the symphony hall and the hotel was perfectly located for getting there in a few minutes.

Parking was expensive at £18 for 24hrs

It was perfect location for a night out in Birmingham. We stayed there with friends and it’s very handy being right next to a supermarket, opposite a fast food restaurant and all the pubs/clubs in a line from there. Great choice of places to go. Hotel bed was comfortable and the shower wasn’t bad. Would definitely use again for convenience. Also had parking underneath.

My husband is coeliac and dairy intolerant so he has to be really careful with food. At breakfast he asked if the sausages were gluten free and was told they were. We were very impressed that the GF bread had its own toaster but there was no dairy free butter so I asked for some at the counter, Took time but it did arrive. I double checked the sausages as they were the only ones and this time I was told they were not gluten free! I told the staff member that my husband was coeliac and that we were now going to have a dreadful visit as he would be really ill. She called the head of the restaurant who was really sweet and she tracked down what was happening. It seems the sausages are GF but they cannot say that because a customer may have used the tongs to pick up something else. I fully understand that but do feel Novotel needs to do something for their GF and DF intolerant customers. My husband does not have a GF fad, he becomes very ill. Perhaps the best way is to say the sausages are GF but get freshly cooked ones from the kitchen when asked? And I would like to thank the restaurant manager for dealing with the problem very efficiently and politely.

The bedroom was pretty dated and the noise meant I didn't get a decent sleep until I switched rooms away from the road. Doesn't look like the windows are appropriate for the location. They need to be double/triple glazed.

Breakfast was great and the staff were really nice.

Someone mustve been smoking as when we walked in our hallway absolutey reeked of cigarettes smell which made me sick. It was gone in the morning.but obviously it wasn't pleasant smell to walk into. First impressions are lasting impressions. Some of our family was staying across the road at Hampton by Hilton. In comparison the deco and colour in their hotel was nicer and more modern than ours.

Overnight trip due to a wedding. Hotel was nice. Lobby was bright and nice and welcoming. Staff were helpful. UmbereLLas available for hire. Decent little gym for ab overnight stay.

My bathroom could have been cleaner. There were make up smudges in the bathroom sink and I found a couple of hairs in the bathtub. I wanted to use the steam room and sauna which looked exceptional. Unfortunately neither of them were on so I gave up. Disappointed.

Great breakfast. Staff were professional, polite and helpful.
