Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe spent my husband's birthday weekend in the Forest of Dean. The yurt was a perfect base, comfortable, beautiful and clean. We fell asleep for the sound of the gentle rain on the round roof and the warm sound of the fire from the wood burner, and woke up for beautiful birdsong, feeling at the heart of nature. We saw deer in the back garden early in the morning. Debbora was so kind and thoughtful, we gratefully received some fresh eggs from the chicken, which made a wonderful breakfast outdoor. Really special experience, highly recommend. Thank you.

United KingdomThe only negative thing was that coming in October with little ones meant we couldn't make the most of all the facilities - e.g. the outdoor fire and eating, but hopefully the hosts would have us back another time.
The Oakdean Cottage yurt is a magical place tucked away in the trees with wonderful views of the hills and woods. The yurt itself was well appointed and lovely and cozy with the wood burning stove. It was comfortable and quiet and we had everything we needed. I can't wait to come again perhaps in the Spring to really make the most of the facilities. The location was ideal for all the fabulous things to do nearby.

United KingdomThe fault i would say is the water boiler for the kitchen sink is only a 5 litre one and the sink is a bigger capacity than that and the plug let's water out so have to was dishes quick . But again the simple way of life I loved .
Simple easy way of life for a few days away from the hustle and bustle . The yurt was so comfy and warm. My only fault would be the slippy path but good old rain added to that. X

A very welcoming family, the facilities were spotless and the Yurt was amazing. The location was stunning and we had everything we needed for a family break. The yurt was clean, the beds were super comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed (we loved the outdoor cooking area), the bathroom was perfect and the grounds were great for the kids to run free!

United StatesI thought it would be in the forest. It was in a backyard. The hike was a long distance from the bus stop. The shower was temperamental. Chris was able to get it working after I texted them.
It was fun and comfortable.

United KingdomNovel. Beautiful location and handy for exploring the area. Very quiet. Cosy but suprisingly spacious. Lovely circular walk along the ridge behind the Yurt. From the ridge there are great views across the Severn estuary and a myriad of enticing tracks leading off into the forest. Stayed for two nights and saw wild boar and boarlets in the woods nearby (twice), as well as fox and woodpeckers. Can highly reccomend savouring a morning cuppa watching the sunrise with trilling blackbirds and song thrush and the sounds of the valley awakening below. It rained one morning and was suprisingly quiet inside. Thinking about a autumn return to see the change in the forest and try the log burner.

United KingdomPerfection.
At the age of 60 I finally got my wish to sleep in a yurt ! Only problem was, I also wanted to sleep in the tree house ! Such a beautiful area on the edge of the forest in a superb garden with fireplace and hammocks plus a covered eating area. The separate bathroom and kitchen were immaculate as was the beautiful yurt. We did not want to leave.

United KingdomFrom car was sloping gravel track, across wet grass to path. Not a complaint as it was clearly mentioned in review. And got used to it and was only really tricky in the rain! But worth mentioning if not able bodied.
We love to stay in a yurt. excellent location, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Beautiful decor inside was in keeping with yurt. Cost and warm and comfortable. A truly lovely yurt, would stay again. Kitchen and bathroom had everything you could need. attention to detail very good.
