Our main criticism was the cleaning of the room. On the day after our arrival the bed was unmade with towels simply placed on the sheets, the mugs may have been cleaned but there was water in one of them in which the biscuits inevitably were damp. For the whole of our stay the bathroom was not cleaned and it was obvious that the floor had not been wiped over. Neither had the carpet in the bedroom area been hoovered. As the rest of our stay was so comfortable these were very bad faults which need to be corrected.

Helpful reception and no problem in changing to a larger room. The breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented and with an excellent menu. The food was superb and the service very good.

Our room was clean but facilities were quite grubby looking and needed freshening up, particularly the bathroom.

The staff were really friendly and couldn’t fault their service. The front of the building is beautiful and the location is stunning.

Booked a suite but this was on second floor and lift only goes to first floor. Had to change for a poorer room as both of us cannot cope with stairs. . This should be made clearer in "Facilities"

Unfortunately, there were some huge cobwebs in the bedroom. The bed was very soft and gave me a bad back. The shower was awfully slow and the shower door stuck at one point I though I'd broken it trying to open it.

Lovely location, all the staff we met were great and very friendly. The chocolate cake from the bar was amazing.

My room was a little dirty (some crushed biscuit or mud was on the floor) and the bed wasn't super comfy (could feel the springs). But they were minor issues

Breakfast was lovely and the staff were really helpful and kind. It's a beautiful building and in a fantastic locations. Overall was a lovely stay for a couple of nights

It took a while to find the staff when we came to check in. The waitress / barmaid / receptionist was a bit run off her feet but when we found her she was extremely kind and helpful.

The setting was beautiful. Even on a rainy Welsh morning, drawing the curtains to be greeted by a field of lambs was a delight!

Sadly there was no hot water when we arrived after a long walk in the rain and we had to freshen up with a tepid bath (it was fine by the following morning). Bathroom was a good size but needs some love, there's a lot of loose grout and cracked tiles.

This is a nice building with a lot of character and lovely surroundings. The room was a decent size and, most importantly, the bed was comfortable and the pillows pretty good! Food in the restaurant (both dinner and breakfast) was good quality and nice portion sizes.

The kitchen was a little chaotic with a shortage of bacon on our first breakfast. We heard a lady order porridge and she was told they did not have any. I had to ask for Orange marmalade because there were no little jars of it in the basket but plenty of choices of jam. The bedrooms on the ground floor could have done with a lick of paint in the bathroom.

We had the cheapest rooms on the ground floor. They had all the usual facilities and a comfortable bed. The rooms were nice and warm with a good supply of hot water and a modern towel rail which was constantly hot. At breakfast there was a good selection of food on the buffet table (including croissants) and a range of Cooked to Order food ranging from Full Welsh Breakfast to Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg. The evening meal menu had several choices included Braised Welsh Lamb. There was a good range of draught beers and lagers and a good selection of spirits. The prices were very reasonable.
