We found the hot temperature of the building a bit much. The room was uncomfortably hot even with the window open all night. Not the staff’s fault as we understood the radiator had been damaged by a previous guest.

So clean, smart and lots of great details. Beautiful building. Lovely staff and breakfast was very good.

To be honest it's a bit petty, but it was roasting! Or freezing with the window open (it is January)

Beautiful house, great helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Close easy walk into town 😁

The only down side was that we had to pay 10£ for the parking inside the property . I understand if there isn’t space and you to park on the driveway to pay 10£ for the ticket, but also inside the property? It’s not really ideal, should be free for the guest of the B&B that are already paying for accommodation. A part from that everything was lovely.

My partner and I went to Bath to attend a wedding and we spent the night at the Oldfields house . It’s a lovely little place , with rooms en-suite and a superb view. The host was very very gentle and she explain everything to us which made our stay very pleasant . So close to the centre of Bath , so it’s a very good place to stay at. We stayed in the loft room and it was comfortable clean and warm . We felt very welcomed so thank you :)

The step up to the shower room. Even though I was warned about it I still nearly tripped so I placed a bag between the shower room and bedroom to remind ourselves that the step was there. The building was too hot even though we turned our radiator down to the lowest level and opened the window. The fixed overhead shower was tricky as we missed being able to use a detachable shower head. From 10.30pm residents are not able to access the lounge to relax in so are forced to go to their rooms until the morning.

Nice lounge and dining area. Very friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast. Nice touches like the chocolate and biscuits left in the room for us.

Maintenance within the room is a little tired, some fairly extensive cracks in the ceilings, door to the bathroom didn’t fit in the frame enough to shut it.

Clean rooms, staff were brilliant, specifically shouting out Casey. If you’re physically fit, the location is fantastic. Classically themed and secure.

The window in my room was broken - which is due to be fixed. Had to pay additional £10 for parking, which I didn't read in the facilities section on booking.com..so that was unexpected.

Lovely place and friend staff and great location.

The TV was a bit slow to start up and I would have preferred a walk in shower rather than climbing into the bath to have a shower (not as young or agile as I used to be), but there were 2 showerheads and plenty of hot water! There was a small step into the bathroom, which I didn't see the first time, but remembered it after that.

Lovely warm welcome at reception, especially in parking the car in the small car park. Excellent help (showing me to my room) and a mine of information. The room was spotlessly clean and warm - and the towels were fabulous. Biscuits were available with the coffee making facilities and there was a chocolate placed on each towel.

    Parking was a little difficult.

The room was accurately described in their listing. It was clean and comfy with beautiful views of Bath. The staff were friendly and helpful. The sitting room and bar were absolutely beautiful. The dining room was clean, well stocked, friendly staff and with very lovely breakfast. It is close walking distance to the centre of Bath so did not move the car once parked up.

I was under the impression that the parking fee was included in my reservation instead , they have a sign at reception saying it is an extra charge. I believe it was only £10/night but I still think they should state that clearly on the booking system.

Kasey welcomed us and gave us all the info we required about our stay. She was amazing, friendly and very approachable. Alex was also great and allowed us to leave the car there for a few hours even after checkout. The place is great, nice big victorian house. Everything was clean and the room was nice and toasty. Extra points for the big shower! It was perfect to relax in after a long rainy day. Would definitely go back and maybe try the amazing breakfast they mentioned!

The shower and toilet in the room I had weren’t great. It look at least 4 flushes to make anything go down the toilet and the shower never really got properly hot and the water pressure was average. Also the coffee the serve at breakfast isn’t great (too little and too strong) but that’s just me not picking.

The property was quite and clean and the staff were friendly

I must have over looked this detail when booking but I didn't realise there was a £10 charge to park my car in the hotel car park. (As the roads around are all residential parking you have little option )

The hotel is cosy, stylish and comfortable. The bar and the open fire in the lounge are especially welcoming! The room was very comfortable with very good facilities.

The bathroom needs a bit of work. The lift room had tiles stuck with silicone, which looked yellow. Also, you have to pay £10 per day for parking!

The only tiny things were it would have been nice to have had a long hook / stick to reach the velux window in the bathroom. I was offered to close and open to my comfort but you can only reach the window if you’re really tall. It would have been nice to have had a blind on that velux window in the bathroom as there was no bathroom door (no problem for a single room) but it just let all the light in in the morning, was the only thing. And it would have been nice to have had a harder pillow option as well as the super soft. But they are tiny details…

The staff could not have been more welcoming and they went the extra mile to give it the personal touch. It was outstanding. Everything to recommendations to help round the house, to history of the house was helpful and quaint, whilst still leaving you to your stay. Perfectly pitched. The room was comfortable and clean. I’m so glad I chose this over any of the large chain hotels.
