Location is great - the seating area outside is. Nice bonus especially when the weather is lovely

We paid £80 more than a couple booking at the same time for the same 2 night break because we asked for a king room - the room we were allocated had a double bed in it - when complaining our room was upgraded to a sea view room which was lovely but the bed was still a large double not a king The other couple had a pokey room but 2 singles pushed together so effectively a super king If a hotel calls a room a King - that room has to have a king bed in it The manager Nick was very accomodating and looked after us but reception staff should imo give guests the best room available for their stay when a hotel is not busy - just saying

It was a bit noisy on the front though we loved the view of the sea.

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was great, with a choice of bath or shower.

The Lift is quite old, and small for the size of hotel.

Bedside lamp didn't work. No BBC 1 on TV. Breakfast ok

Excellent location. Very nice staff. Large bedroom with sea view was lovely.Spacious downstairs areas. Valet car parking on site was a huge plus

There is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel. They do have older facilities like toilet or elevator, but for a short stay it was a great value for money.

the reception areas, the dining room and bar look as though they have been upgraded, and are in keeping with the star rating. but the bedroom(ours) was in need or redecoration

breakfast was good and plentiful. First room had problems , was given a sea view which was a bonus, but rooms are a little tired and in need of decoration. bed was very comfortable in an excellent position on the sea front, everything within walking distance.

What ruined it for us was arriving early to ensure getting a space in the hotel car park to then be charged for the two nights parking, I have never had to pay to park in a hotel car park of a hotel I am already paying good money to stay in.

The location is what sold it for us.

Could do with a bit of TLC as a little tired looking. Woken up early in morning by noise outside from garbage truck collection.

Our first night at The Old Ship Hotel, was spoilt by a very, very ,very loud function going on. The loudness went on until 12.30am Saturday morning. We understand that you do functions but surely after a certain time the music or band needs to bring down the volume.

The Garage is very convenient, but a bit expensive. All the Staff in the Hotel Reception and Garage and Bar were very helpful and polite, The bar area was very welcoming, and good entertainment. Bar food and Breakfast was very good value for money. The staff were very good, helpful and polite. The beds and room were very comfortable.

Room was very nice, large, and overlooking the seafront. Location ideal for all ventures and for all people. Breakfast was good for buffet and as expected. Staff were very freindly, helpful and efficient.

Breakfast was expensive for what it is. There was what appeared to be a smelly 'druggie' outside causing lots of noise I did not get made aware of the facilities (fitness center) TV didnt work

The rooms were a little noisy, you could hear everything from the neighbours.

Staff were insanely amazing, even the guests were super nice. The hotel has a unique charm, near the beach and close to the centre as well as surrounded by restaurants.

The room was spacious and the bathroom had what you required bit old fashioned but did the job. Some places were little tired. Very friendly and helpfully staff. We only a bedroom no breakfast.

This Breakfast buffet could be better . For £17 , better quality , eggs , bacon and sausage. Also freash tomatoes, not tinned.

The location is great and the general friendliness of the staff always makes me go back . I stayed at the grand a little while ago and Grand , it wasn’t . I would always choose The Olx Ship from now on .
