Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaStairs were insane. No entry key, so unable to get in if reception is unmanned (as was often the case in the morning). The bathroom was terrible. No water pressure at all and the shower screen would close in while showering. No bath mat, so incredibly dangerous when stepping out of bath onto tiled floor.

United KingdomBetter than last year but bathroom had stains on shower cubicle Very narrow and difficult to manoeuvre, especially when opening the shower door to get out. Water drippped onto the floor, making it very slipper. Perhaps s provide a mat?? Bed comfy and room ok overall. Still no catering which is regrettable.

United KingdomWhen we arrived to the room we thought how amazing but shortly after we found that the toilet had been used and not flushed, no toilet roll, a dirty shower Matt, mould in the fridge and dust/dirt in several places When we reported this to reception they apologised and told us they had no cleaner at the moment and gave us half a toilet roll! A different room not offered at all forcing my partner to grab some cleaning supplies from the shop to scrub the mould and clean the dust It’s a shame as we were actually impressed what the room offers it just wasn’t very clean
The room was beautiful and the bed comfy

United KingdomThe room did not match the photo, it was hot and there was no air conditioning, the TV did not work well, there was only mini soap and tiny samples of shower gel in the bathroom, which is not even enough to completely wash yourself, there was no toilet paper. It was also not comfortable to sleep, there were 2 very small pillows.

United KingdomVery little soundproofing. Not bad on Sat night but sun morning got woken up by next door who sounded like they were in our room! Towels were a little small and bathroom floor was a bit slippy after showers. Take care!
Room was on the top floor - room 6 and we had a little balcony window which was needed on a hot Saturday in London! Molton Brown shampoo and shower gel miniatures was a bonus. Location was really good - we walked to Hyde Park no problems. Big fridge in room which we didn't use.

United KingdomSadly the room was very expensive for what it was for the one night and it was just a single bed which wasn't particularly comfortable and head board wasn't attached so if you moved in your sleep it would bang against the wall and sound like someone is knocking on your door. Wallpaper was coming away from the wall and the décor was very dated. The hotel didn't feel secure at night as the front door was wide open and my room was on the ground floor nearest the front door.
To start with it was in a really convenient location for the Station (Marylebone) and only a 10-15 min walk to the hotel and It was easy to find. The Free wifi is always a good thing to have. The bathroom was nice and clean and had a good shower. The member of staff was very friendly.

United KingdomLooks like we paid a much higher rate than usual, as the London Marathon and FA cup semi final taking place that weekend. Therefore, not great value for money.
Excellent location between Baker Street and Marble Arch tube stations. Easily walkable from Marylebone train station. The staff were friendly and helpful and we could leave our cases there when we arrived early. The room was dated and could do with a full refurb. The photographs make it look more luxurious than it is in reality. We only stayed one night, which was fine.
