Bit dated and terrible squeaky floorboards and shame our room overlooked the bins

The first room we were given had no working power sockets. No phone charging, tv, kettle etc. We ended up having to re pack and move rooms at 11pm. The next morning, in the upgraded room, the shower did not work. It was eventually 'fixed' but using it was the most complicated process that had to be demonstrated to us. Never has using a shower been so ridiculously difficult.

Restaurant food was excellent. Staff were well trained.

Furniture tired and bashed in bedroom. We weren’t told of the extent of the scaffolding until the day we were arriving, then told we’d basically have to put up with it as no other rooms were available and as we’d booked through booking.com we would not get a refund. In the end another room was found. Spa area very tired and you can’t really call it a spa!

Room was a lovely size, lovely views, friendly staff. Food very good.

The amount of noise from the wedding party at the weekend.

The sea view was Fabulous. The room was very spacious and well arranged. The bed was very comfy. The proximity to the lovely Meadfoot Beach. The outdoor bar and restaurant is a very relaxing place to eat and drink amongst friends.

No disabled access to the hotel. We had to carry my son’s pram the stairs every time we enter/exit the hotel. It was too hot in our room during the day even with the heating switch off. Breakfast was average.

We were staying in one of the junior suites and our room was spacious and clean. We had a lovely view of the sea. Didn’t use a lot of the hotel’s facilities as we were there only for two nights. The staff were polite, especially at the reception.

Evening meal was poor. Service very slow. Burnt chips and not value for money.

Location ideal. We have timeshares on site but came to enjoy a few days in the hotel while our daughter and family used our timeshare.

We could hear people moving outside of our room in the morning, as the cleaning cupboard was just outside of our room but only minor. Was a lovely stay!

Location was perfect! Lady on reception was so lovely when we checked in! Beautiful building, great facilities (loved the pool and sauna) and good value for money.

Some tired and dated looking furnishings in the room we stayed in - not dirty, but stained furnishings on view (bottom of divan, and bed foot coverings) Didn’t distract from the stay, but it is something that definitely should be addressed

327 Athlone The room I was allocated was on the third floor facing the back, up the pretty hillside. Although next to the lift, the lift was quite. The room to my left, their shower room extraction fan was very loud; as was the noise coming from the two boiler flues outside the room windows. Due to the sash windows not having secondary glazing, the noise from the two boiler flues stopped me sleeping. So I did not sleep at all and left early around 9am. I would like some form of compensation.

The beautiful location. The calm, relaxing feeling within the Hotel. The room size for a single occupancy was ample, and a nice size double bed was welcome. Clean and tidy. I had a few issues but will inform the manager, so they can be resolved for other clients.

Staff were great. Really first class - well done! I found some of the hotel infrastructure somewhat lacking. Shower too feeble I mentioned this to the deputy manager On breakfast table I would have liked a hot water jug to accompany the tea and coffee jugs. The milk jug left on the table was too small. We need a big one from which to top up our teas and coffees. Also plenty of butter pats on the breakfast table so we're not up and down to the buffettable so much.

Was on the top floor and mobile signal was poor and the WiFi was weak. I did find a WiFi booster that had been unplugged and this solved the weak WiFi

The sink in the ensuite was blocked and the shower head wouldn't stay in position. Apart from this, everything was fine.

The room was small but warm and quiet, and the bed was comfortable.

The water pressure wasn’t brilliant on the 3rd floor but didn’t really bother us for the one night. The breakfast was disappointing unfortunately…bacon overcooked. Muffins were rock solid. Hollandaise sauce was lumpy and cold. This didn’t ruin our stay but could’ve been better.

Family room sea view. Amazing huge interlinking room with absolutely stunning views! 2 massive picture windows looking out to the beach and sea right over to Brixham. Immaculately clean. Comfy beds. Gorgeous bathroom with complimentary goodies, bath and shower. Everything you need…from iron to a fan and digital DAB radio. TV with all the channels. Sofa and chair. Loads of space. Huge indoor pool. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

The shower on the 3rd floor lacked pressure. Lack of instructions for operating the lights and technology.

Reception and restaurant staff professional, friendly and extremely helpful. For a single room it was more spacious than I had expected. The view from the front of the hotel was spectacular. The funeral reception was very well managed with an extensive buffet.
