The sofa was rather too soft for us, but others might find it perfect. Nothing really to dislike: this is a great place to stay.

We were self-catering. The whole unit was clean and tidy: no issues with anything at all. Location was very quiet and relaxing. Some new birdsongs to treat our ears. Parking was free and uncrowded. Hosts were brilliant - really pleasant and friendly people. Bed was super-comfortable and we slept very well. The fridge kept our wine cool!

Sofa in lounge not particularly comfy to sit on. A hand towel as well as the tea towel in kitchen would be nice.

There was nothing we didn’t like really, but if we are being picky, a better stair gate - that one was quite annoying, though it was still very useful to stop our dog going upstairs. She sometimes struggles to settle at night in a strange place but she was fine here as she could hear we were just upstairs and not shut away somewhere.

What we look for in self catering accommodation is a comfortable bed, a good shower, peaceful surroundings, an enclosed garden for the dog and a well equipped kitchen, and of course it has to be sparkling clean. This property had it all. I noticed one review said the kitchen was not suitable for preparing a meal but that was not the case at all - it was absolutely fine, so you won’t need to eat out every night if you don’t want to. Lots of lovely walks and great pubs in the area. Welcoming but unobtrusive hosts.

V.hot in the bedroom at night on probably the hotest nights of the year but I guess air con in the UK is not standard yet, although a fan was provided which helped. Car parking for squirrel too tight and suggest is combined with Owl (which would also resolve previous comment re overlooking full floor windows). Positives far outweigh the above...just trying to give helpful feedback!

Breakfast was delicious. Ideal for dogs as tiled downstairs plus accessible grass area. Private patio great for mornings/evenings. Car trips to Sizewell, Dunwich, Walberswick and Southwold, all within 25mins.

    Everything was great!

We were greeted by Gary the owner when we arrived and given a good explanation of everything we needed to know, but Gary also gave us further information about the area when we needed it. Our place was cosy and welcoming. We’ve never been to Suffolk before, but we will be back to stay at this place again.
