Beds were very creaky and not the comfiest I've slept on. That said, they wouldn't put me off booking again

Lovely hotel and bar. Staff all lovely and friendly. Came up for Hogmanay with hubby and son. Sadly, due to his age, we couldn't stay in the bar which had a great atmosphere. The bar has loads of potential with the back area and lounge,. I love that it is dog friendly. Rooms were nice and clean and cosy.

Property was fine. Even better if second bathroom had a shower also. Currently has a bath only no shower hose so strikes me as an easy enough thing to do. That way it’s not a waiting for the correct bathroom to be free. But this wasn’t a big issue within the limitations of a shared bathroom.

Pub downstairs, breakfast was good.

For a no-frills hotel it was fine, but a convenient plug for the other twin bed would have been helpful.

Room above was really noisy at night with what sounded like construction. Made it difficult to sleep and was a bit unnerving. When we checked out no staff could be found on site. Tried calling the 24 hour helpline but no answer, so just ended up leaving the room keys in the room door.

Helpful location stay on a travel between Edinburgh and Inverness. Easy to find with plenty of parking at the time we arrived. Check in was simple and the rooms had everything expected. TV was provided.

Very difficult to find a staff member to get checked in. Another guest had to call to find someone. Radiators in the room did not work at all. No heat to dry things or get warm, and it was a cold, rainy night. There was a portable heater in the room which I plugged in and used. It eventually heated up the room a bit, but being conscious of the power it was using, did not want to leave it on all night.

Breakfast was not offered at this hotel. The room was a good size. The bathroom was fine. Nice hot shower.

Our room was quite tight for space and we could hear the bar downstairs when we were trying to sleep - but it didn't actually stop us from sleeping.

Great location, dog friendly and served as a nice place to stay the night between hiking days. Great breakfast and the bar with pool table downstairs was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. Everyone - locals and staff a like were very friendly and welcoming.

What a refreshing experience! The host could not have been more helpful. Recommendations for local restaurants and pizza takeouts, and even set us up with his personal laptop so that we could watch a rugby game (the bar TVs were set to Football and we werent going to try compete with the football). Good value drinks at the bar. Room was comfortable (family room) and well appointed. Definitely an option when up in the Aviemore/ Newtonmore area.

The hotel is obviously a little old + in need of refurbishment. Whilst the room was clean and comfortable, the walls were in need of a lick of paint and the bathroom quite tired + in need of complete replacement.

The location suited us perfectly and there was ample on street parking outside / nearby. It was a clean room with comfy bed and an easy check in + check out process. The staff were very friendly.

I prefer en suite and we had shared bathrooms but have to say they were spotless.the room was spacious but could do with table and chairs to sit at especially when bringing in takeaways as hotel didn't do food. Room had one comfy chair but they were 2 of us so 1 had to sit on bed.when leaving at checkout no one was around to leave key with we had to leave it at side of stairs .

Host was friendly on arrival but we spent most of our time in aviemore for Thunder in the glen.Parking was good no restrictions on main road right outside hotel

Comfortable bed, I had an en-suite room so didn’t have to play rock, paper, scissors with other guests. Easy parking on street rather than private parking as advertised, no issues though personally. It was a good stay for the price paid and I would return.
