Functional hotel but eith a car park, wi-fi and high street nearby. Pleasant staff. It's pretty basic, but all you need and with an interesting barc downstairs. Food looks good.

Very hard small bed, no wi fi in any of the rooms, only in the bar or restaurant. Extra charge for breakfast. One way road system to get into the grounds of the hotel.

Could hear people talking through the walls in the adjoining room. Full English breakfast was nice but there were no options and you got what they gave you.

Knowing you can pay an extra £1 on top of the Continental to get a kiddies cooked breakfast should be better advertised. Definitely a better quality toilet roll.

The hotel was much much better than the reviews. It was quiet, comfortable and friendly.

Lovely staff. Walls a bit thin. Can hear guests in rooms. Wifi strength non-existent throughout hotel makes it hard to do any work apart from in the bar. Then i wanna drink. Bathroom and beds comfortable and ample for a short stay. Again, lovely staff. Just could do with a refresh and the price being cheaper for the level of accommodation provided.

There was a mix up on keys between room 6 and 9, which wouldn't have been a problem except it turned out that 6 key also opens 9's door and we were woken at 0300 when someone with the other key opened our door and came in much to our surprise (albeit that it could have been their room!)

Nice hotel, staff very pleasant and helpful both on reception and in the restaurant.

We are in our 70’s and there needs to be a handrail fitted over the Bath to assist getting in and out for a shower..

We was there as a large group and and have spent £1500+ as a group and was questioned over a £4:50 pudding that hadn’t came out of the kitchen. But was told we had it already .

The hotel is a little dated compared to other hotels that i have visited. Wifi only downstairs, no USB sockets, TV in room was so small. Drink and food expensive.

The room was a bit dingy. Tv very small as were the towels. Room is in need of a refurb. Unpleasant stains on the carpets and wall. Bathroom grouting and fittings a bit tired and mouldy. We had a meal in the bar and there were bits of food on the fittings around our table and on the floor. We had a double beef burger but we don’t think they were beef. Hamburgers more probably.

The location is very convenient for us when visiting family. The bed was comfy and as it was mid week we had three peaceful nights sleep. Parking is good. We noticed slight improvement on the tidiness of the outside areas since our last visit.

Whilst the room was clean and the linen was clean, the pillows were stained & there were no pillow protectors. The mattress protector was clean but the duvet was stained. Also, the breakfast wasn't as good as expected. Also, one of us didn't have breakfast due to suffering from a cold/cough, when asked why only obe of us was having breakfast his reply was responded with 'you don't gwt a refund!' - we hadn't asked for one!

Location was great lovely view of the lake from restaurant. Room basic beyond belief. No arm chair or stool for the dressing table. Just a plastic hardback chair. We got woken at 2am with a comotion going on outside our window. All that said breakfast was great the function rooms equally so. Staff were lovely lunch was good and there is plenty of parking. I would stay again but would hope for a few comforts in the rooms.

Room smelt damp and there were stains on the carpet as if there had been a leak from somewhere. Several cob webs in the corner near the front entrance.

Only one key given, and that had a big tag with the name of the hotel, plus the room number. Big security risk if we were to lose/mislay/be robbed

We booked the hotel purely because of the location, it was exactly where we needed to be, so the location was excellent
