Lots of noise inside the building, Doors being opened were squeaky (WD40 is cheap, Give them a little squirt) and guests slamming doors, This was of course the other guests not being considerate though and not the actual B&B.

There was only one problem. The bed mattress was very old and tired, and the lower half of the bed base had been broken. A new bed would have made a high scoring, interesting and comfortable stay, reasonably close to Stansted Airport.

The room was beautifully restored with some lovely quirky fittings. The room was clean, the bathroom was new and quite modern. Plenty of PowerPoints, etc.

Something that can be improved: The doors shut with a bang and they all squeak, but a little bit of oil can sort that out. The bathroom on the first floor could do with an update and a better light.

I stayed for three nights before my flight. I wanted somewhere clean and convenient to the airport, and this place was exactly that. I took into account that I would be sharing a bathroom with others, and mostly, the other guests left it clean behind them. Some guests are more polite than others, but that's no fault of the B&B. Maybe when you book a room, please remember to consider others. The bathroom on the second floor is much bigger and newer than the one on the first floor, and there is a clean and modern toilet on the ground floor too. Breakfast was OK—nothing to write home about, but it's all there, and as it's self-service, you can help yourself at whatever time suits you. All in all, I had a good experience.

No reception or staff. Was very much like a hostel. Room was just unlocked on check in so anyone could have been in the room before I arrived. Bit of a strange set up.

Good clean room, the bathroom was immaculately clean. Comfortable bed and very quiet - just what was needed. Breakfast was fine with cereal and youghurt....did the job.

It is just rooms in a big House: mine was very nicely done. Tea/Coffee/Breakfast are all "Make it yourself" in the downstairs kitchen, which was fine, and more than acceptable. Has parking on the front and in a back yard. Lovely setting and garden/tree views

Somewhat overheated on arrival, but the warm weather was exceptional and it was a quiet place with the windows wide open.

A good, tree-lined location within a quiet district of Old Harlow, but close to routes of access. About 15 minutes pleasant walking from Harlow Mill railway station. The shared kitchen facilities were like a hostel, adequately supplied but not lavish. Nothing beats a cup of tea when you need one.

My room and my sons was just soo hot. There were pipes behind a panel in our rooms and no way of turning the heating down. Great in the middle if winter, not even the fan in my room cooled it any and my son didn't have a fan. I got very little sleep due to this x Must add that overall the actual guesthouse was amazing x

Loved the location so much and the house itself was fantastic, also how attentive the host was.

There is no name sign for the hotel. Not easy to find, especially in the rain. None of us liked the heat in the bedrooms. Could be turned down a lot or off.

Breakfast was ok it was as expected. Location good, on a quiet road.

There was a very invasive cooking smell coming from a nearby room it was very strong in our room and even a film of cooking fat steam, we had to have the window open for a long period to ease the smell, which was on our clothes the day after. I think there may be a self catering room upstairs as the smell was also throughout the stairs and landing
