United KingdomNo hot water, the owner said on some paper that there hot water but you have to locate it and turn it on. But we couldn’t find it and we didn’t want to tamper with random electrics incase we touch the wrong thing and cause a fire or something.
The location is good close to the beach and shops and there is free parking on side roads.

United KingdomThe fact it’s a scam We were unable to gain access to the property so we weren’t able to stay here. The access code given was either incorrect or purposely changed so we couldn’t gain access to the property. After spending a few hours trying to contact the phone number and leaving messages we had no choice but to book alternative accommodation elsewhere as it got too late in the evening. Sent generic messages stating that they hope we are enjoying our stay even though they’d been messaged advising that we weren’t able to access the property

I'm sure there wasn't any cleaning from the previous guests but I was charged 70£ as cleaning fee. Two messages were sent at check in to the host to solve the situation but I didn't receive any answers. Thanks!

United KingdomWhere to start? We had no water at all. The taps did not run water and we had to buy bottled water. Made a complaint on booking.com but got told we need to wait 24 hours for the property owner to respond (shock horror) they never did. Whenever you call the owner it goes straight to voicemail but the voicemail box is full so cannot leave a voicemail. Investigation going ahead from my last update. The flat was not as clean as thought. Cobwebs everywhere. Front main door downstairs did not lock. Marks on walls and carpets. Loads of letters in the hall way when you walk in. Rubbish under the beds and in radiators.
The bed was comfortable and location was local to shops and beach. The decorations of the property was nice.

United KingdomI really objected to the toilet full of urine on our arrival but when you have no running water to flush it maybe I'm being unreasonable, who knows, pmsl!! It was Abit much being ignored by the host when we reported no running water, having them report us as a no show to booking.com and then keeping our money whilst they remarketed the apartment for the dates we had paid for because we felt we had no option but to leave after only an hour there. I was a tiny bit furious with the dirty bed sheets and unmade beds I found on entering the apartment, it was like I'd gone on a home from home holiday clearing up after my lazy teenage boys!! If we'd had running water and a functioning smoke alarm I may have brought sheets and towels and made the best of it but having no running water is just unsanitary. I wasn't a fan of the filthy walls and carpets, they were practically crying out for cleaning products but alas I was unable to save them. The apartment is dangerous, poorly maintained and never cleaned. You will find it how the people before you left it so cross your fingers they aren't dirty buggers!! Thank you booking.com for your small gesture of goodwill, however, I will still be pursuing a refund through small claims or dispute resolution and the ombudsman. Hosts like this shouldn't be allowed on booking.com, they are robbing b**tards!
Absolutely nothing! The place, and hosts, are awful. If you have this booked then cancel your booking immediately. It's unsafe and a biohazard and that's being polite. If you like dirty bed sheets, towels and carpets and you aren't bothered about catching ebola then you might be ok here. Margate seemed nice but this property let the whole area down! I really loved the washing up bowl in the bath that you could fill with water to use to flush the toilet, obviously I would also have loved running water to actually fill the bowl up!!

United KingdomThe slats were broken on one of the beds, no wardrobes in either room, bedroom window would not close, the flat was dirty on arrival and had not been cleaned, stains on walls etc, there was no hot water all weekend, we had to use the flat above for a shower, no smoke detector, fire doors didn't shut, the main door lock didn't work, one of the glasses in the cupboard was broken and left there, host or booking.com did not reply to any of our complaints all weekend, left a day early, very very disappointed

United Kingdomwell on entrance dirty apartment and when I say dirty I mean no cleaner has came in from the last people and cleaned anything! dirty wrappers on the sides, dirty bedding, had to go to Asda buy all new bedding sheets duvet covers, on our first night here you call that a holiday do you? should have been spending time with my children not cleaning and changing beds how disgusting and criminal people are robbing peoples money and not cleaning it before they arrive, oh tampons in the bin which by law is dangerous (contaminated blood) is a way of spreading diseases! this whole apartment is an accident waiting to happen. hopefully it will come back to bite you on the bum booking.com and we’ll deserved for not listening to the other bad reviews

United KingdomThe apartment was in shocking condition to say the least especially for the price we paid we could have gone to an actual bed and breakfast for the cost of this. See below for list of issues:- - smelled of cigarette smoke throughout - bed sheets were dirty and hair was found on the pillows. - dirty washing was left in the basket in the main bedroom. - inadequate bathroom hygiene. The bathroom was filthy zero cleaning had been done prior to our arrival, no toilet paper was left, no soap for the sink and no plug for the sink the bath itself was absolutely disgusting - kitchen amenities were all extremely dirty and unusable. We refused to even touch any of it with our 4 year old daughter safer option eating out. - Carpet throughout the apartment was disgusting marks everywhere seems like it was never properly hovered prior to arrival. All in all we wish we had read the reviews on this place prior or we would not have stayed in this dump. When you pay excess of £95 a night you would expect it to be fully prepared for guests which of course the preparation was never done prior to our arrival.
luckily we only stayed there for 2 nights after waiting for over 2 hours to get access.

United Kingdomit was the worst experience of my life, I had the big mistake of not reading the comments and fell into this trap, my check in was on Monday my host simply decided to send me my access codes only on Tuesday, I arrived at the flat completely filthy, the dirty floor, dishes in the sink, the beds all used and dirty, all the towels in the house dirty and accumulated in the bathroom, a disaster, the main door of the building does not lock, there is no security, there is no place to throw the garbage and the host simply pretends you don't exist, didn't respond to ANY chat I sent, didn't respond to booking.com, totally ignored the problem. It was the most badly spent money of my life, rubbish flat and irresponsible host.

United KingdomIt was disgusting. It had not been cleaned ready for our stay, even though we checked in after the agreed time. The floors and carpets were dirty and stained. There was even a used food bowl by the bed with leftover chinese food and rubbish in it. The smell of the whole apartment was horrible. There was still dirty washing in the washing machine. The bathroom was not clean either. All sides were dusty and dirty. There was cutlery on a dirty sink drip tray. The fridge/freezer smelt horrendous as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, with food around the edges and corners. The host refused to answer our messages and continues to ignore us. We wanted a beautiful first family holiday with our baby and have been left with an experience that we will never forget. It is so upsetting that they have taken our money and refuse to contact us or give us a refund...for an apartment that was not clean or ready for our stay. Completely misrepresented and should be avoided at all costs. We had to book something else last minute when most places were booked as it's summer holidays. Save yourselves the disappointment, NEVER BOOK THIS STAY.
