There was a very strong smell of deep fat frying in the room. We think this was coming from a large, silver flue that was situated across from the room outside. There was a continuous, strong smell within the room. When we arrived a window was open we thought that was the reason why it smelt. We were only there for 2 nights so didn't bother to complain.

The room was clean and comfortable. Overall a good sized room.

The hotel and room were lovely as were the staff. The bar, restaurant and common areas were great. The problems lie with the bed and breakfast. The bed was like laying on stone and the pillows needed some stuffing in them. The breakfast had a good buffet and juice selection and the coffee and tea were good as they were in our room. I had grilled kipper which was hard and cold, it had obviously been cooked a whole ago as was the English breakfast. The fried egg was good but the rest was poor and bacon was hard, mushrooms over done and black pudding wasn't nice. The service at breakfast was excellent but I wouldn't be in a rush to eat there again. Sorry.

The breakfast was a good size and the selection was also really good. However, the main cooked ingredients (sausage and bacon) were almost inedible as they were way overcooked. Such a shame as we were all looking forward to a rare fry-up. Hopefully reading this, it can be corrected as I would definitely stay here again.

Very good experience, underground parking for cars and our motorcycles. The rooms are large, quiet and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom had a bath/shower which worked fine.

The Room was ok, did feel a little dated, but was clean. Could have done with air com or a window that opened. There was a fan in the room so that was something. When I saw the venue was listed as a sea front hotel that was one of my reasons for booking, the actual veiw out the window was of the back of someone's yard which was a shame. All in all not a bad hotel. Maybe the price could of been fractionally less.

The Breakfast was excellent and the location was good with access to the town centre and seafront a 10 minute walk away. The accès to the room was good with a lift provided,Also onsite parking was available.

The shower in our room (37) could do with a bit of a make over as the paint on the ceiling is peeling away the sealant was black in places and the vent didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while. However that said it didn't make a difference to our stay we still enjoyed it.

The location is good and the room was nice, bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good.

Rather over priced albeit premium location. Bathroom dated. Breakfast closing at 9.30 including weekends seems rather old fashioned, should be at least 10am at weekends. (You can buy brunch in the lounge from 10am on.)

Great location, very comfy bed, good lounge and bar service, breakfast excellent, very obliging staff. Food good, excellent day time menu but you need to book as it’s very busy, afternoon tea was delicious & very popular!

Toast at breakfast. Asked for well done but all 4days it was done on one side not on the other. Told if they did it anymore it would start a fire. They really need to sort out toasters. It spoilt my breakfast because I don't do cooked breakfast but like proper toasted bread. Shame really. Confusing billing system. I phoned because I thought I had been charged twice because food was added to invoice on credit card. Which I had paid for on debit card. It had been taken off credit card! Person on end of phone was getting a bit irate with me because I didn't understand how it worked. Best pay at the time in Lounge or Restaurant.

Friendly staff and service. Lovely quiet room with big bathroom and bath with separate shower. Spotlessly clean. Excellent food. Despite confusion over chips. We ended up with two lots being made but only accepted one. Despite niggles below we would stay again.
