We did ask to move to another room because our room was so hot which was not a problem.

Maybe the pub across the road from the hotel as it is very popular with music and drinks in full swing until quite late, we couldn’t complain about it really as we had spent a great evening in the said pub.

This is an older style hotel that has retained many of its original features which gives the hotel a wonderful feeling of style. It is clean and comfortable with staff that can only be described as being wonderful on many levels. The hotel has its own car park which for me is important especially as parking is at a premium in the town.

We were on the 2nd floor & it was extremely hot during the night, we had no heating on in the bedroom but the hallway heaters were on full which we only realised in the morning were the issue

As noted above.. the bathroom needed a little maintenance work and the actual hotel car park is poor.

The location is absolutely fine, the venue is very nice and the staff are lovely. The room was tidy albeit with some minor maintenance issues regarding the tile work and finish in the bathroom. There is a temporary use of the car park at front of the hotel but the actual hotel car park is in a bit of a dire state/ that said, apparently it is locked/secured.

There was a very strong smell of deep fat frying in the room. We think this was coming from a large, silver flue that was situated across from the room outside. There was a continuous, strong smell within the room. When we arrived a window was open we thought that was the reason why it smelt. We were only there for 2 nights so didn't bother to complain.

The hotel and room were lovely as were the staff. The bar, restaurant and common areas were great. The problems lie with the bed and breakfast. The bed was like laying on stone and the pillows needed some stuffing in them. The breakfast had a good buffet and juice selection and the coffee and tea were good as they were in our room. I had grilled kipper which was hard and cold, it had obviously been cooked a whole ago as was the English breakfast. The fried egg was good but the rest was poor and bacon was hard, mushrooms over done and black pudding wasn't nice. The service at breakfast was excellent but I wouldn't be in a rush to eat there again. Sorry.

The breakfast was a good size and the selection was also really good. However, the main cooked ingredients (sausage and bacon) were almost inedible as they were way overcooked. Such a shame as we were all looking forward to a rare fry-up. Hopefully reading this, it can be corrected as I would definitely stay here again.

Very good experience, underground parking for cars and our motorcycles. The rooms are large, quiet and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom had a bath/shower which worked fine.

The Room was ok, did feel a little dated, but was clean. Could have done with air com or a window that opened. There was a fan in the room so that was something. When I saw the venue was listed as a sea front hotel that was one of my reasons for booking, the actual veiw out the window was of the back of someone's yard which was a shame. All in all not a bad hotel. Maybe the price could of been fractionally less.

The Breakfast was excellent and the location was good with access to the town centre and seafront a 10 minute walk away. The accès to the room was good with a lift provided,Also onsite parking was available.

The shower in our room (37) could do with a bit of a make over as the paint on the ceiling is peeling away the sealant was black in places and the vent didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while. However that said it didn't make a difference to our stay we still enjoyed it.
