Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomThe staff at the Pan Pacific are exceptional. The attention to detail in making us feel welcome and unique really surprised us, even if the hotel is a 5*. From the front desk, through to restaurant staff, bar staff and door people, the service was 10/10. The room and decor across the whole building is great and the food/drink were also top class.

United KingdomWe stayed here for our son’s pre-wedding night as it was just around the corner of the wedding venue . We made the wrong booking and they kindly upgraded us which would have been as an extra expense which we happily accepted. When we came to the check out, they said that the upgrade fee was covered by the hotel, as it was a special day for us. How lovely! The service was superb, the breakfast had so much choice and the room was very comfortable with a delightful view over the wedding venue! The communication from the hotel before and right through the stay was great. I cannot fault anything and this hotel is so worth its rating.
The service, the ambience, the room, the hospitality, the extra care taken at our check-in. Nothing can be faulted.

IrelandThe sauna is in the locker room of the spa, but the room is tiny and the sauna is very crowded. I asked at the front desk about booking a spad and the guy at the front desk looked unconcerned and told me that they were not responsible for it and that I needed to call and ask myself.
Best value for money in its class. Spacious room and great facilities. Housekeeping will help you fold your clothes. Will be thoughtful to find out what you are missing and gave us Martens toothpaste. The Hainan Chicken rice is the best in London, you can have it in-room or at the hotel restaurant.

I only knew about it as I queried the room charge at checkout as it was a bit more than I had expected from my confirmation on booking.com. It was "hidden" and did not show as a separate entry on the invoice. They removed it at my request but it would be easy for guests to not realise and pay.
Beautiful bedrooms - very comfortable and well designed. Serviced twice a day with complimentary water and all bathroom amenities replenished. Great location - just steps from Liverpool Street station.
