How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I had a room at the front facing onto a main road it was very noisy heavy volumes of traffic starting at around 5 am with poice vehicles racing past at all hours of the night on blues and twos so sleep quality wasnt that good apart from that excellent value for money i would recommend asking for a room in the new annexe around the back which would be alot quieter
The breakfast was excellent the room was excellent in terms of facilities and comfort eveything you need kettle tea coffee flat screen tv Nice bathroom with modern facilities , nice bar friendly staff decent food secure parking, easy access from main road

Noise from upstairs rooms when using metal staircase to enter or leave at night . In single room tv could not face bed so couldnt watch tv in bed
Rooms separate from main building and no road noise .comfy beds and good size rooms .lovely showers Food at breakfast and dinner was cooked to order and lovely .staff were friendly and helpful

Our stay at Park Head was outstanding. Super clean, staff couldn't be more accomodating and helpful. Staff were friendly and both the hotel and the rooms were great. Plenty of choice for breakfasts and the food was reasonably priced and very tasty.

Nothing everything was perfect
Loved that I could bring my dog in the room as well as the bar area. This was our first time bringing the dog and the staff were superb and accommodating. Food was lovely with quick service. Room was really spacious and clean! Decorated lovely as well. Shower pressure was so nice as well. Nice area to walk the dog just over the road too.

The breakfast was excellent and we actually meet the cook Alison she was very pleasant with us and even on arrival she said she would of made a sandwich excellent service and great staff x

Small fridge in room could have been helpful. Blinds let sunlight in, so curtains would possibly help.
Breakfast ticked all the boxes. Cooked food was very tasty. Loved the decor throughout. Very clean and fresh. Location was perfect as a stop-off, in between destinations.

Cooked breakfast was fantastic, buffet choices looked a bit on low side but quality was great and any requests were granted Compliments also from the Mrs, best eggs benedict she ever had Room was way larger than usual and bed was great / best sleep all week - possibility to open windows also much appreciated well lit parking with enough space

The warm welcome we received from the receptionist was lovely. The bar is so comfortable and the service was great! The restaurant is fab. The food was amazing and the breakfast was absolutely delicious!

Travelling with a 3 year old wasn’t great that the rooms only had roller blinds which let light in around the sides. Would suggest getting some form of blackout curtains.
It was set it a good location and staff very friendly.

Mattress is very firm and uncomfortable so we had back pain in the mornings. Next to main road so was slightly noisy. No smart TV. Cleaner didn’t take towels and just put them back on radiator.
Clean, homely, spacious and lots of storage space, nice views of countryside, good amenities. Great internet

Could do with a more comfy seat in the room
It’s in a good location, staff were brilliant always helpful and accommodating the rooms were clean and tidy towels and toiletries were provided. Also room had tea and coffee facilities and the tv had a good range of channels if you wanted them. Good to see plug socket at the bedside as well. Breakfast was great good selection for the hot breakfast giving variety for vegetarians as well. Dog friendly hotel and able to take our dog into breakfast with us.

Breakfast was tasty hats off to the chef, the only problem was there were no plates for toast, no bread to toast until ed requested it, no coffee out until we requested it but the food was lovely
Very clean spacious and well facilitated room with exceptional receptionist , she sorted transport out , came to my room to inform me of the details then came back to advise me of their arrival

The shower head was not clean and the extractor fan in the shower room was noisy all night without the possibility of turning it off completely.
The room was very spacious and modern as was the reception, restaurant and bar. Staff were pleasant and breakfast good value. Overall a pleasant stay and in an ideal location to where we were visiting.
