Although the recycling area didn't cause any physical issues - the overall appearance of this area wasn't very nice. A huge blue tarpaulin sheet was tied to the railings behind the caravan that needed to be replaced as it was tatty and only half secured. When we approached the caravan our hearts sank because the immediate area looked unkempt and ugly. The area around the caravan outside needed to be cleaned better - there was litter around the caravan, discarded cigarette butt's and even an old sock. The steps to the caravan encroach onto the parking area, this area needs a tidy up as the weeds were numerous. I believe that this is an issue for the park maintenance rather than the caravan owners. I would recommend having some outside furniture for the decking area - it's a lovely area but we could not make full use of it as there was nothing to sit on.

The caravan was spotless inside, it was comfortable and quite spacious. Duvet and pillows were provided as stated and there was enough hanging space in the wardrobes for more than a weekends worth of clothes. The 2 toilets were ideal - 3 adults in 1 caravan and no queueing for the loo. The decking area was lovely and gave the caravan a feel of luxury. The caravan is sited next to the recycling area which meant we didn't have to walk far to dispose of our rubbish - it was surprisingly quiet and there were no smells from the area also a surprise. The caravan was not too far from the clubhouse as it was situated off the main drive in - it took me about 10 minutes to walk to the clubhouse, I have walking difficulties so slowness is my issue not the caravan site. There is a large grassy area to the rear of the caravan which would be ideal for kids and pets alike.

Caravan was spacious but we couldn't get out the patio doors. E mailed was advised they should be in caravan. No sign of any keys. No reply to my 2nd email

Next door had tarpaulin on a fence that was all ripped and due to high winds kept flapping all night. Also due to decking there was hardly any space to get car in.

Only thing, if being picky was the grill in the oven was not working (or maybe just us not being able to work it 🤦🏻‍♀️) and no toaster but again this is the only if trying to find something!

Clean, warm, comfortable and in a fantastic location with lots of onsite facilities! We come to Wales once every 2 months on average and usually book on the Golden Gate site due to good prices / discount from friends but this was the first time booking a caravan from someone not known to us….the price was fantastic (maybe due to season due to start but not fully till weekend) but the service received from both the onsite reception as well as the owners of the caravan was exceptional and would definitely book in the future.

The main door wasn't locking. Technically, it was scary imagine sleeping, but knowing anyone can open your door. Not safe.

The caravan was an absolute shambles! We arrived Friday 29th March, and upon arrival, the boiler didn't work. The boiler cupboard door was hanging off! When I spoke with the owner, he assured me an engineer will be out to sort it as soon as possible(still waiting 3 days later!) So we had no heating and no hot water, I spoke to the owner again, and he said he could supply an electric heater! Not sufficient enough to actually heat the caravan up! We would have left on Friday and cancelled if we never had several other family members on the same site! You couldn't sit on the couch as the timber underneath is snapped! The waste water pipe in the bathroom isn't even connected, leading to water to go all over the floor! The blinds in both bathrooms were broke! After speaking to the owner again about the boiler issue he sent someone to drop off another heater which couldn't be used as both heaters on at the same time with any other electrical device would trip the electric! I would really advise people to avoid this caravan like the plague! When I booked it, the reviews were great. However, the last 6 months the reviews haven't been the best. The last Person who stayed here left a review on the 30th March highlighting the issues I have so it's clearly an ongoing issue that the owner just doesn't care about as long as he's got your money. If you have booked this caravan, please don't be fooled by the pictures! The only good thing this caravan has going for it is the verander/balcony! We had a BBQ Saturday night, and once that was over, we went and stayed in a family members caravan for the next 2 nights as this one was just embarrassing. I look forward to the owners comment saying he offered me cancellation on the first day, and I chose to stay. Yes, I chose to stay because you assured me the boiler would be repaired, clearly not! Which is why we left it Saturday night.

The location of the site was it's only benefit, right facing the fair.

AVOID: Caravan was dirty, blinds broken, cooker and shower didn't work. Text about the gas and electric which we never had and paid for. Door lock broken, seating ripped and dirty. Nothing like photo on Booking.com. We did inform you we were staying until the Sunday, when you said you was going to come down. I have kept all text messages.

We had a terrible experience at the place from start to finish, no clear directions were given to find the place. The photos we saw on the website and the place are different. It was a dumping ground for us. Kids were crying in the next caravan, and people were shouting in the middle of the night. There is a train track at the back of the park so a lot of disturbance. My kids were cold at night because we couldn't find the thermostat and no instructions were there to follow. The boiler says don't touch. They mentioned there was a sofa bed but it was just a SMELLY SOFA ONLY. Parking was very narrow. The beds were squeaky. We had a terrible night and were awake all night. There was a smell in the caravan. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EITHER YOU HAVE FAMILY OR YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.😔😔

The caravan was not clean the carpet was dirty, there was very old chewing gum stuck to the mattress covers, the TV didn't work even with the Ariel gaffer taped in, the grill didn't work but I did see a review from a couple of months ago saying it didn't work then! There was no WiFi either so no TV and no WiFi with an 8 year old not good at all, we decided to come home a day early! We contacted the owner who said we could move to their other van on a different site but not worth packing up and moving plus the facilities on the Winkups site!

State of caravan hadn't been cleaned when I got there bin full in kitchen carpet full of dirt work tops not cleaned mold on inside back bedroom with double bed on back of curtains black long hair in shower cubicle seating all stained and rug in front room was wet with wee and moldy,really angry I paid £544 for this and I have pictures for proof
