Amazing location with stunning views over the pretty harbour and close to restaurants and shops. Accommodation was clean, stylish and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay in Aberaeron.

The heating and water weren't turned on when we arrived as we had been led to believe they would be. We worked out how to get it all working without too much bother although the underfloor heating was a bit of a mystery (although it did work eventually). The door to the front bedroom could do with a bit shaved off the bottom. My friend said he thought an extractor fan in the bathroom would help (although opening the window is always an option, albeit a chilly one at this time of year). My friend also suggested a light above the bathroom sink to help when shaving, although the wall heater may make that a bit tricky. He also likes porridge in the morning but there were no non stick saucepans. It probably took longer to clean the pan than it did to make and eat the porridge. A proper bread knife would have been handy. There was just about enough glassware and mugs - a few more larger glasses wouldn't go amiss. The TV was fine although we'd never heard of Roku and having seen their product in action, we wouldn't rush to buy it ourselves. But these are just things that weren't major issues - just suggestions to think about.

Location was excellent. Property was as described on the site. No adverse surprises. We had an excellent weekend meeting family so didn't spend that long in the flat other than as a place to sleep. No complaints but some comments below intended to be helpful!

The property had scaffolding up and workmen were there at times and the lobby area has seen better days and could do with a spruce up but this didn’t spoil our trip or the overall stay.

location was great as right in the heart of Aberaeron, immediately from the front door access to the harbour area with plenty of bars, restaurants etc. The apartment was spacious with comfortable beds.

Although the shower is new and has plenty of pressure and hot water, the shape of the bath means that you have to lean backwards to get wet. This felt unsafe in a wet bath. Would have been really great if basic condiments such as salt and pepper were included. A cafetiere would also have been appreciated. Not everyone likes pod coffee. An extra comfortable chair in the living area is needed. Only seats for 3 when it is a 4 person accommodation. These are only minor things. Overall, a great property.

Fantastic location, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, warm. Close to everything you need for a great break. Easy check in and check out. Good communication.

the bathroom could have been more modern but was fine. the surprise was the communal parts were tired. the wallpaper was in fine condition just not as modernised as the flat. don’t know if under same ownership but the window frame on ground floor by front door was in poor condition and didn’t reflect well on the flat above

Although this bears no reflection on the apartment itself, it did sound like a herd of elephants started their rounds when the child upstairs woke at 6:30 - this was just in the front bedroom

We booked this apartment for a family wedding and the location was just perfect and many an hour was spent at the window looking at the view. Everything we needed was provided and clean and tidy. The host communicated well. We all agreed that it was a great stay

so many remotes to learn how to work! finally got the fire to work but never did manage to get the underfloor heating going. kitchen cupboards very high, I couldn’t reach above the bottom shelf!

it’s position. light and airy (after climbing the musty smelling staircase to the door). comfortable bed but we felt we couldn’t use the front bedroom because of the danger of handling the stairs if needing to get up in the night. comfortable seating in lounge area. good to have free parking so close.

Tired property, needs some tlc. Shower not good, positioned in wrong place so very difficult to use. Initial impression front door and entrance area very poor.

Booking.com failed to provide the key code (not the first time for me either) so we spent about 30 minutes outside in the cold and wet.

Coffee making facilities are a minus – property supplies a Nespresso machine only but no pods; saying in the guide that I can buy them 16 miles drive away isn’t really acceptable; the team provided a small number of complimentary tabs after a chaser message but the response saying “no cafetiere” supposedly due to sink issues didn’t really make sense – loads of places provide cafetieres – maybe put a notice over the sink. Dishwashing and laundry – appreciate the space is small but with some rework and imagination it would be possible to fit both a washing machine (e.g. in airing cupboard) and dishwasher (under the sink). Not having either of these white goods for a week’s stay at this price is a bit disappointing and inconvenient. When chased, service provided a washing up bowl, J-cloths and tea towels but in a space without a dishwasher the provided handwashing tools should be top-notch from the outset. Similarly without a washing machine, a washbowl and proper drying rail which fits inside the bath is essential Minimal kitchen and serving facilities are quite a drawback; I appreciate that this is a holiday let, but would have been nice if if weren’t quite so basic, e.g. - Mugs, plates, cutlery and bowls were clearly the very cheapest sold in IKEA and not of an especially nice design; when cost-cutting is so evident it’s difficult to let other niggles pass without comment at this price; appreciate there might be breakages and you need to cover them , but if the stuff is nice people are likely to be more careful - Just having a bit of a range, say teacups / saucers, sugar bowl and jug would have made the place feel a bit more cosy and comfortable - Touches like Salt and pepper shakers, a few extra bowls and plates in different colours and styles would have been nice – even in a holiday let I don’t especially want to eat my dinner with the supermarket salt by my side.

View and location – unbeatable on all counts. Mattress and bedding in the rooms is of good quality and comfortable Nicely and simply styled throughout Sofa and lounge chairs comfortable and stylish Excellent selection of plastic storage boxes in the kitchen – very handy for keeping provisions and picnics Bath – not often to be found in new accommodation –definite plus Responsiveness of the team to addressing niggles during stay

poor communication with property owner. we had an issue with the water whilst staying there and couldn’t get in touch with the owner/property management team for a significant amount of time. eventually we had to go elsewhere for a shower. we were offered to be reimbursed for the cost of showering elsewhere on producing a receipt, but as we didn’t get a receipt this wasn’t possible. disappointed by the communication on the day.
