What an amazing hotel and the best staff ever. We were greeted at the reception with smiling faces and told if we needed anything just to ring reception. The room was fabulous and HUGE! The food was out of this world and I’ve already booked my next stay at this truly wonderful hotel. Everyone that works there makes this hotel shine and could teach many in hospitality how the job should be done. I can’t wait too come back.

Everything about this Hotel, its staff, facilities and restaurant are exceptional and of a high quality and yet retains its relaxed feel. We will certainly be returning for a longer stay in the very near future

Just one thing the bathroom was missing a heated towel rail

Really cannot think of anything!

The location was superb and all round customer service was exceptional. We were so impressed and enjoyed our whole experience. We were especially delighted with our meal in the restaurant in which the food and drinks were of a very high standard. Great value! Views of the lake from our room were stunning.

I would have liked to have more options on the TV - perhaps a smart TV were we get access to internet. I would also have enjoyed more of the delicious bread we enjoyed in the first couple of days on the last day. But these are just small details, it was a great option for the peak district.

What I enjoyed the most was the breakfast, it was truly unique. Staff were all friendly and was very handy to have print outs of possible walks around the area. The milk in the mini fridge and the room amenities were also of great quality. And the big bath tub and the shower area separate, I love it.

No hot water

Loved the room and decor. The hot water didn't work in the evening due to a plumbing problem so couldn't have a bath or bath the baby. Turns out staff gave other guests discount but weren't offered anything. If water worked would be 10/10 but feel like we paid a lot to not make use of full facilities

All was excellent except an issue with the hot water however we were assured this was a one off and the issue was being dealt with.

The Derby full breakfast was okay - lacking a bit in taste and slightly over cooked sausages.

The rooms, the decor and ambience of the hotel were excellent. Good breakfast spread which was inclusive.

The hotel atmosphere was lovely Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedroom & bed size was good. The Breakfasts were a lovely quality of generous sizes and my whole family thoroughly enjoyed all the meals served at The Red Lion restaurant. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the local area.
