Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI suppose it was pretty pricey, but I had to book it a bit last-minute and it's in London and I had no troubles here at all.
I stayed here because I came from outside London for a hospital appointment at St George's, it's in the perfect location if you need to access the hospital. I arrived quite late at night and there was a nice person at the reception desk to give me my keycard and information. There's a lift, the room was really comfortable. They provide really nice soap/shampoo/body wash for the shower. My bed was comfortable. When I checked out, they allowed me to put my big suitcase in a locked room while I attended the appointment, and then I could come and pick it up when I was finished. It was perfect really!

United KingdomNoisy outside, facing hospital, especially with the window open as it was a hot evening. Room was on the 2nd floor, so a higher room may not have been so bad. Noise situation not helped when fire alarm went off around 11pm, stopping a few minutes later. No announcement or evacuation took place. it would have been nice to have a shelf in the shower for shampoo etc

United KingdomCouple of cleanliness issues - there were two distinct stains on the carpet in the ‘living area’ and a questionable mark on the standard lamp shade. Minor point, but no decaf drinks options provided in the room, although plenty of normal tea and coffee. We did also feel that prices were very expensive given that many guests would be patients or relatives of inpatients for St. George’s (as we were).
Suite had everything you could need for an independent stay - fridge, microwave, hob. The shower in the bathroom was amazing. Bed was very comfortable, and air con was very helpful as the rooms got quite warm. Staff were polite, helpful, and well turned out. We had access to communal outside space from our ground floor suite which was really good given the nature of our stay (hospital admission).
