Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere was a lot of dust on picture frames, etc, and the bathroom wasn't spotless. Shower was a wet room but unfortunately the water didn't run away so the floor just kept getting soaked. Price for 2 nights was really high, but we had no choice as we had a family wedding, and it was the only place we could get.

United KingdomWhoever cleaned the flat was not thorough. There was rubbish in the living room and the plates in the cupboard were dirty. There was a dirty oven tray in the oven. However, the overall cleanliness (floors, surfaces, bedding etc) was fantastic.
The beds were extra comfortable, with fluffy pillows and extra fluffy quilts. It was a lovely warm apartment. There were towels provided with spares in the wardrobe, and a blanket for each bed if you were cold.

New ZealandWe couldn't enter the apartment on the first night because Booking.com had double booked the apartment. They found us alternate accommodation for the first night on the other side of town. When we moved into the apartment the next day, there was no hot water in the shower. We were unable to shower during our 3 day stay.

United KingdomUnfortunately, after a long journey, it was not possible to take a shower as the shower did not have enough pressure and the water did not stay hot for more than 25 seconds. The house upon arrival was freezing/cold. I had warned that I would check in late (Unfortunately it was later than I expected because the flight was delayed) It was the first time they didn't even have coffee. There was a kettle to heat water but there was no coffee and I'm not sure if there was tea.

United KingdomWell I don't want to go into to much detail and thought for a bit how to put this with not to much negativity but bathroom very out dated and extremely dirty .kitchen was unusable and had to keep door closed due to a very bad stench coming from it we did try to find out why but found molded bread dirty utensils and sponges and open bags of cereal left in cupboard in carrier bags . Nothing as to why it smelt so badly .... we had to eat out for three days which ate into our budget big time ..... Onto the living room with broken settee and chips left from last guest under table .and broken mirror stuffed behind settee... on a plus twin room clean and comfy.. the double room ok but dirty slippers and stains on white sheet but beds comfy and a plus after so much negativity .would not book again unless massive deep clean and up grade . After coming from a rented accommodation while visiting Inverness to this accommodation was a massive let down and we really would of left the night we got there had it not been rugby weekend and no where else available ........ felt like someone had left their home for few days and rented it to us .was in a extremely lived in condition and not a rental accommodation. Very sad as like I have said location good 👍
The location .....and beds comfy and lovely and warm and lovely friendly pubs at end of street and easy commute to Edinburgh by car .....
