A refreshing week away from our busy city lives.

We enjoyed our week's stay - lovely to see the lambs out in the field. Quiet location on a working farm with superb views - cottage was spacious and well equipped.

Might smell like wet dog, otherwise nice place in lovely setting. But beware the owner.

It smelled like wet dog on arrival, husband's dust allergy made him ill, spent 2 hours hoovering (emptied 4 times of dust and dog hair), got shouted at by owner for washing cushion covers due to allergy, felt very unwelcome. Ruined holiday. Got in trouble for having a local friend over for a cup of tea, one of her kids went into the barn next to house. Owner blamed my husband's allergies on this. No lock on side gate stopping children going into Barn and poor signage. Refused any compensation despite my husband being very ill for a day until we cleaned thoroughly (the owner did bring us a new hoover). If owner had taken responsibility for floor not being cleaned properly we wouldn't have minded, but instead she got upset and defensive. Kept going on about a child getting into the barn. You'll have a great stay here as long as you don't complain or upset the owner in anyway, or the other unfriendly people on the farm.

Communication pre stay was easy, the location was beautiful and facilities excellent. Nice touches like easter eggs for the children and fresh flowers.
