We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

NetherlandsAs stated above my room was very good but the room my kids had did smell a little damp. This didn't bother them but I am a bit more sensitive. But for this it would have been 9/10.
Very attentive staff, good breakfast, rooms dated but everything works and is of high quality, great location with easy parking etc,, nice pool, sauna and jacuzzi etc. Good restaurant and lounge area with board games etc. Bar also has a good selection.

United KingdomThe hotel was very popular and was obviously valued by the local community - It had a lot of events taking place that brought people in. The staff worked hard to ensure all events were delivered to a good standard. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, replenished every day, the bathroom looked as though it had been recently updated, great shower and deep bath, plenty of hot water. Clean sheets and towels. The rest of the room was a little tired, stains on the carpet and tired furnishings; but still comfortable. We were at the back of the hotel so it was nice and quiet. The main problem was the bed! Old sprung mattress that had sunk in the middle, and very uncomfortable. One night would have been okay but four nights was not great. We did try turning the mattress over but it was rock hard. I did politely ask at reception to look into this for me and was reassured that they would ask housekeeping to see if there was something they could do. Unfortunately they did not get back to us and I was busy going to work from the hotel and travelling around Cornwall. So I did end up sleeping in a sunken mattress for four days. When we checked out I did raise this as a concern, the receptionist apologised and said that she had spoken to housekeeping and also found us another room which was a much better room, but she had forgotten to follow it up with us. I recognise that they are very busy and part time staff come and go at different times so not always easy to keep a tab on things. she did apologise for the over sight. The rest of the hotel was again a little bit tired but comfortable. The restaurant food was okay, if you stuck with the pub food such as steak and chips or fish and chips. They did have other options such as braised pork porchetta, with sweet pomme puree but it was a little bit tasteless. I feel that they need to commit to a menu, either have good pub food or commit to providing good speciality food
The staff were excellent, it is because of their hard work that the hotel might be seen as a four star, they were so attentive and hardworking and very friendly, especially the bar staff and the staff working in the restaurant. Everything worked like clockwork. The breakfast was excellent and the spa well organised and clean. This is a comfortable well worn hotel that you can relax in after being out and about. Very convenient for seeing Cornwall and all its beautiful coast line.
