Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFurther than the 5 mins suggested to nearest tube, more like 13 Outside area unkempt and full of litter. Attached to bungalow separated only by an internal door. I could hear EVERYTHING from next door, phone calls, agitated conversations, alarms going off unanswered, and worst of all someone expectorating catarrh noisily almost constantly. Woken at 6 by all this. Also the security light outside the glass entrance door flashed on and off continually outside , and as this was facing the bed, I got hardly any sleep at all. Parking was disorganised and haphazard, not as indicated. Such a shame because the property was nice and very good value. Wouldn’t go again
Spacious clean well equipped and comfortable. In good position for fast tube to central London via Elizabeth line

United KingdomIt would have been great if the room was perfectly clean. There were spots that had dust accumulated on them. Also, the rugs were smelling as someone puked on them. So, we took them out of the room and asked the host to collect them. To make a suggestion, it would be better to give washing and drying clothes facilities to guests, in future. Some flip-flops or slippers would be appreciated, too.
Kay, the host, sent instructions about how to get in. Also, the list of important points were framed and placed on the bed's timetable, including, the Wi-Fi's password. There was free Netflix service so watched our favourite movies on the TV. We did not see the host but Kay was accessible through Booking.com's account's messages area.

United KingdomThere was no bathing gel in the bathroom. They also packed a van to block the entrance gate to the studio. It was a challenge getting my suitcases in. I actually left and stayed just one night.
Just a basic studio not too far from Heathrow airport.

Located near the Elizabeth line that connects you to the central London. The property is ideally located, spacious and the host is very responsive. It was hassle-free.

United StatesWanted a place close to airport to stay the night before catching my flight back to U.S. Worked out fine. Studio is easy to get to on Elizabeth line from downtown London; about 7 minute walk from station to studio; airport just one stop away on Elizabeth line; WiFi worked fine; private and safe. A bit cluttered in outside back yard, but didn't stay there for that purpose. Works well for an overnight in transit, and would use it for that purpose again.

United StatesThe bed urgently needs to be replaced. It is worn out in the spot where everyone sits because the studio is too small to have much furniture. There is an adjoining apartment with a very thin door separating the two units. You can hear everything the guests in the adjoining room say and do and they can hear everything you say and do. You might as well be staying together and make a party of it. I stayed three nights and each night I was awakened around midnight or later as another set of guests checked in after arriving late at LHR. I did get to hear a nice bedtime story from a mother who read to her young children, so that was a bonus. Otherwise--super annoying!!! Worst of all is the very intense smell of mildew in the bathroom. It got slightly better when I turned the fan on (and left it running constantly for three days), but it is still bad. Also, the hand soap, body gel, shampoo and conditioner dispensers were all completely empty. Fortunately, I was able to talk to the woman cleaning the adjoining unit and she refilled the dispensers. Still, there is very little attention to detail with the management (is "management" too strong a word to use here?) of this place.
This place has the potential to be very nice but has several fatal flaws. Fortunately, these flaws are fixable and hopefully the owners will address them if they would like to continue doing a good business with this investment. As it is, they are shortchanging the guests and making money now while sacrificing their long-term reputation and profits. The location is easily accessible from LHR, which is the only reason I can imagine why people stay here. There is a garden in the back that has great potential but is not at all well maintained or designed. The owners put very little effort or thought into this place. As I said at the beginning, it could be extremely nice and very inviting. As it is---umm, not so much.

United KingdomAccess to, and parking was poor - just a bit of rough grass out the front. Had to squeeze in between two other vehicles. Back garden nothing like the photo. Shower room spelt damp and had mould. A double bed but not two of every piece of cutlery. Mattress lop-sided - my partner felt like she was going to fall out.

United KingdomTitle: Disappointing Experience at the Studio Flat I recently stayed at this studio flat, and unfortunately, it will be my last time booking here. This place falls far below the standard for an overnight stay, and here's why it deserves a downgrade to one or no stars. Firstly, the studio has a cheap and uninviting appearance, not even meeting the criteria for a two-star rating. The backyard resembles a shed converted into a room, lacking the charm expected from a decent accommodation. The shower was a major letdown, with scalding hot water that couldn't be adjusted to a comfortable temperature. Additionally, there was no shower gel provided, leaving guests with a basic necessity unmet. Lack of a heating system was apparent, replaced only by a hazardous electric heater. This posed a fire hazard, making it unsafe to leave on overnight. The studio door, though lockable, didn't instill a sense of security or comfort. Upon arrival, the oven was dysfunctional, and a portable microwave was only provided on the third day. This delayed amenity impacted the overall experience. The bath was not as clean as expected for a three-star property, and the decoration showed signs of poor craftsmanship and unprofessional finishing. Most guests seemed to stay for only one night, likely due to the studio's proximity to Heathrow Airport. It appears that guests prefer not to complain about the numerous issues during their brief stays. Additionally, the property seems to cater more to short-term workers than leisure travelers. The host claims to respond to every message, but my experience contradicts this. Despite the host's assurance, calls went unanswered, and responses to messages were sporadic, if at all. In summary, if you're looking for a place for just one night and don't mind foregoing proper shower and kitchen facilities, this studio might suffice.

AustraliaThe area was very run down and littered. It was unseasonably hot and it was great to have a garden. Unfortunately it was totally unkempt and the table was splintery.
The studio itself was as described. We were unfamiliar with the equipment in the kitchen and the host helped us quickly by phone.
