Room wasn’t equipped with anything a room of this price usually has, not sure we got the superior or deluxe room we paid for certainly didn’t have a Mountain View. Any request to staff member got met with an instant No without advise to follow up.

Garden rooms are dark, dingy, uncomfortable. Toilet and bathroom downstairs with creaky stairs. Very noisy and could easily hear people from other rooms.

Staff very nice and helpful. Location is amazing.

The Sauna wasn't working and this was one of the reasons we chose this place. The staff didn't help sort it out and didn't apologise much about the lack of a Sauna so was disappointed about that. When we called ahead to ask about the "spa" they said it would be open until 7.30. We planned our time accordingly, and then when we arrived they said it closed at 5 which gave us little time to enjoy the Sauna that didn't work and the slightly odd jacuzzi in a basement.

Great room and great hotel. Really lovely food and the staff were nice.

I was very pleased to stay at this hotel BUT the rooms are quite old and noisy. Unreasonable waiting time for breakfast, it took 40 minutes. Dinner - food is good, but please pay attention to table setting.

People in next room were noisy and could be easily heard through the wall. Not to do with the property a little more diligence with food would be good. The food was generally of a high standard but not always. We ordered coffee for breakfast but got tea. We ordered porridge with honey, and got a massive portion of very lumpy porridge with no honey. A lady on the next table ordered avocado and it was not ripe.

Fantastic building and gardens. Room was spacious and comfortable.

The staff weren't the most attentive. There wasn't anyone on reception when we needed to ask a question and dialling 0 on the phone in our room (which the guide said would get us through to reception) didn't work. We ended up Googling the hotel phone number. It was also very difficult to get the staff's attention at breakfast and wasn't offered sugar, butter, salt, pepper or any condiments to go with our food and coffee, so ended up asking for quite a bit when we did flag them down. Expected more attentive service considering the price of the room!

The location is stunning, with rolling countryside and sheep for miles. Lovely and quiet. The food at dinner was also very good.

They haven’t quite got to grips with the 21st century. The plug points which we all need to charge phones these days were neither by beds nor seating making life a little awkward. Staff had a habit of chatting amongst themselves when guests were waiting but they were helpful when asked.

This hotel is in a stunning location and the two rooms we had were glorious with fabulous decor and bathrooms. The food was good but not as good as the accommodation. The menu read well but the results were unexciting. If you’re a foodie, eat out.

The Wi-Fi would not work. Phoned for a drink to be brought to my room as I was in my pyjamas and was told that " we don't really do room service" even though the room booklet said they did. The lady did say she would bring me a coke after I said I would just get dressed and come get it.

Lovely massage and spa staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds with plenty of seating areas. Room and the hotel couldn't fault the cleanliness. Food was plentiful and tasty.

Bathroom was downstairs. room was hot unable to open windows. Lot of noise coming through walls poor sound insulation.

Found was excellent best steak I have eaten in a long time. Staff very friendly and helpfull

Room had no shower and defective hand mixer fitting. The room was also directly next to what appeared to be the kitchens extractor fans which caused vibrations throughout the room when they turned them on at 06:30. The staff both at checkout and breakfast were diss interested at best.

Breakfast was good quality and the bed was comfy.
