Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Extremely clean, beds were comfortable, hole place smelled amazing and had everything we could have needed for our stay. Looking forward to returning hopefully soon

United KingdomWe had difficultly getting into the property as we were given the incorrect code for the key box. Luckily they had a key we could use at reception & the code was sent a little later however communication could have been improved as it took around 40 minutes for us to get in. The caravan is nice, with a lovely outdoor area however it is a little worn in places. The grill door was off so we could not use this, the cutlery was dirty so we had to wash everything before use and there was the off hole in a door etc… just small things that could be improved.
The property was mostly clean with a lovely outdoor area and hot tub. It was good for a family short break, had everything we needed. It was a good location and close to local attractions and Alnwick.

United KingdomAdvertised as 3 bedrooms but was actually 2 bedrooms with sofa bed in lounge. Settee was very hard & uncomfortable (sofa bed), door missing from the grill, shower wouldn’t work properly. Messaged twice for queries about hot tub chemicals & fire but no replies received.
Lovely location, nice hot tub.

United KingdomMajority clean - bathrooms toilets bedding etc spotless but dirty if you looked too closely. could do with a more thorough deep clean eg dusty cobwebs above beds/windows and doors that had been there a while, unhoovered floor underneath sofa bed which wasn’t nice to see when turning in for the night. Grill door missing, side of coffee table loose and broken (intact when stayed still but the table had to be moved to unroll the sofa bed) Hot tub surrounding area could do with a clean however hot tub itself maintained lovely. No tea towels/cleaning supplies which we didn’t mind but would have allowed us to leave the lodge exactly as we found it.
Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Modern and spacious. Hot tub canopy had been repaired which saved the weekend as the weather was wet and rainy and would have been unable to use otherwise. Lovely welcome pack which goes above and beyond what guests expect/normally receive including bottle of Prosecco! Beautiful location and central to explore Northumberland. Pretty much had everything you need utensil wise to enjoy a self catering holiday. Huge decked area to enjoy the surroundings and will be lovely in nice weather.

United KingdomCertain things weren’t cleaned properly. Mould around shower and on shower head! A lot of grease on cooker hood! Hot tub not very powerful and half the gazebo cover wasn’t on so a lot of pine needles from trees in hot tub. Beds weren’t comfortable.
Nice area. The decking area, with lots of seating and hot tub are a bonus. Little welcome pack a nice touch, although was said there would be milk and was none.

United KingdomDisappointed to see the cover over the hot tub remains broken despite previous comments on other reviews from weeks ago. It spoiled the experience especially as it was raining during our stay. Outdoor furniture needs some TLC, I would suggest seating covers at least. Grill was broken but didn’t effect our stay. Additional bath towels would have been useful especially when staying a week, but didn’t effect our stay.
Location good, lovely and quiet surroundings, caravan was very clean inside and homely, good size master bedroom.

United KingdomDecking area had not been cleaned lots of pines all around hot tub. outdoor seat cushions dirty, tables not cleaned. No use of golf buggy as advertised told the park no longer allows them. Only a few of the jets working in the hot tub, messaged the owner but no reply. Cover/gazebo over hot tub broken and so the hot tub ended up with lots of pines in the water and lots of annoying flies around the hot tub area in the day time. This is not three bedroom as advertised it's two bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room. It is not a villa it's a caravan.
Liked the complimentary tea, coffee and two small bottles of wine. Hot tub but this requires some improvement

United KingdomWe didn't like the fact it states there are 2 bathrooms when in actual fact there is one shower room with a toilet and a sink and in one bedroom there is a separate toilet with sink. That is NOT 2 bathrooms. Not ideal for 5 adults to get ready for a wedding. It should also be made clearer that it is not a 3 bedroom property and that it is a settee in the lounge that makes into a fold out bed for 2 people to sleep. Nowhere in the lounge area to hang clothes etc. There were no door mats as shown in the photographs so we had to put our own towels we had brought with us on the floor to wipe our feet on. Pine needles got everywhere and only a sweeping brush to try to get them out of the carpeted area. The caravan is underneath pine trees so the hot tub, decking and furniture was covered in a thick layer of pine needles. The canopy over the hot tub had half of the panels missing out of it and the remaining half was covered in pine needles. If you got in the tub you ended up with loads of floating pine needles and annoying flies. Only a couple of jets worked on the hot tub. We contacted the owner about the state of the hot tub when we 1st went to use it but didn't get a reply. A little net appeared the 2nd day on top of the hot tub, likely left there to remove the pine needles from the tub. The cleaner needs to pull the bed settee out every once in a while and clean the old sweet papers, fluff etc from under it. I picked some of it up myself before making the bed.
We chose this place as we were attending a wedding nearby. It's in a nice quiet location.

United KingdomI took my foster son and daughter for a small break away, unfortunately we were hit by the storm, which broke the fence around the hot tub, blew the roof off the gazebo, and was a bit dangerous to sit out too long (which is no ones fault) but the next morning we woke up to no water, no electricity, no toilet facilities no nothing - which my little boy needs as he has additional needs! We walked up to reception where we were advised to leave the park as they said it was dangerous and didn’t know when supplies were coming back on. We had to pack up and leave, I then contacted the owner who offered us a disgusting 20% off our next stay, which I said no, I’m a single dad work very hard for myself and my children and our little break didn’t happen not only that but it’s been horrendous with no electricity or water ! I asked for a refund for what we will be missing which we were point blank refused, I wasn’t expecting a full refund but just the nights what we would be losing. They offered us to come back for £200 which by this point you can imagine I was frustrated, we just wanted to get home and get back what we were owed! I wouldn’t want to deal with this owner again to be honest.
The property was lovely but shame we couldn’t enjoy what we paid for!

United KingdomThe caravan hadnt been cleaned very well... there was food in the sink, mud all over the mats and the carpets hadnt been hoovered as there was lots of little twigs all over it. Shower screen was very grimy. Splashback on the kitchen hob was covered in fat. Some of the glasses hasnt been washed and were covered in lip marks. Someone came round while we were there to clean the hot tub... felt like we were being checked on. Hot tubs dont need cleaning every day. We only had a 2 night stay so Im sure this could have waited till we went... unless it hadnt been done before we arrived.
Very cosy little caravan and the hot tub is great! Great tv and wifi. Clean bedding and towels provided. Decent fridge freezer for all our goodies. Both glass and plastic cups provided for both indoor and outdoor use. Kitchen was well equipped.

Sister had to wrap herself up in the duvet, on,y possible as she was in it by herself. We emailed to request one for the 2nd night (via previously exchanged messages)but there was no response and no bed sheet delivered. Toilet seat broken. Only dining 4 chairs for 5 of us.

United KingdomThe late check-in at 4pm and early departure at 10am made it difficult to relax and enjoy the facilities on our stop over. An 11am check out would have been appreciated and improved the value for money at £200 per night
The accomodation is very well equipped. The decoration and facilities were lovely. The deck and hot tub is a great place to relax and socialise until 10pm when you are requested to be quiet for other guests.
