How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Perfect location for sightseeing in South Cornwall. It was a joy to come back to the cabin each day.

Everything was good nothing negative I could find . I had a good experience.
Location was fine , close to where I was working, I had trouble initially finding the place but having found it, all was good. Place was clean and comfortable everything you needed was there. Ashley & Marion were friendly and approachable , Would recommend to others.

Everything was lovely
All the extra touches that meant everything we needed was there, no need to get milk, tea, coffee, sugar or biscuits. Toiletries and linen all ready. Very comfortable and extremely welcoming.

Clear instructions regarding accessing cabin. Parking at the premises, large enough for estate size car. Hospitable hosts, absolutely lovely family. Clean and very comfortable cabin with all that we needed for our stay. Treats were left for us too. Great recommendations for activities and places to eat. A calm and quiet retreat. Thank you for accommodating us, we feel rested and refreshed.

For us, it was perfect. So really there was nothing to dislike.
Everything about the cabin, for us as frequent visitors to Cornwall it fitted our bill. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the thoughtful niceties like Cornish shortbread biscuits and milk plus all other things were a bonus. We highly recommend the cabin for those people who need a central base for exploring central Cornwall. Bear in mind this cabin isn't overlooking the sea, it is about 3 miles inland on the edge of Camborne, a small town, but the people of the town are friendly, and as a base for exploring and hiking it is perfect.

Quiet location tucked away from the main road. All the facilities you would need for a self-catering break. Little welcome touches were very cute, and the host was super helpful and friendly. Very clean too.

My wife & I have just spent three days visiting family and could not have found a better place to stay, the cabin was ideal for our needs and very comfortable indeed. It is ideally suited for visiting this part of Cornwall. I cannot speak too highly of our hosts, Marion & Ashley, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Their assistance with aid for my disabled wife was very much appreciated. We would have no hesitation in booking again when we next visit Cornwall.

Nothing that my wife and I did not like. Guests should be aware that there is a hotplate for the compact kitchen area but no oven, which we did not find a problem. The kitchen facilities were fine for our breakfast and snacks because we ate out for our main meals.
The helpfulness and friendliness of the hosts Ash and Marion who made us feel at home. The property was entered by through a secure door at the side of the hosts house and is located in a secure and pleasant walled garden. We like to attend church on Sundays and found a welcome at the friendly Elim church in walking distance from the property There is also a Tesco store a few minutes away.

Ashley and Marion are absolutely superb hosts. They are excellent communicators and nothing is too much trouble for them. The cabin is so relaxing and peaceful — just what we needed after such a long drive, as were the Cornish shortbreads and cider that were waiting for us! Excellent value for money and in a very handy location to get around all the local attractions. Highly recommended — will absolutely book again whenever we are lucky enough to be back in Cornwall. Thanks for everything!

I will start by saying that We had a very nice experience in this location and with these special people! The conditions are very good, perfect cleanliness and especially quiet! Ashley and Mary were very open in helping me prepare a little surprise for my partner and that impressed me! We will definitely be back soon! Xx

We booked this as a last minute stay as I needed somewhere more than a wet camp site to conduct some online interviews. Ashley and Marion could not have been more helpful and provided everything we needed. For me the WiFi was perfect to work and my partner had the luxury of not being stuck in a hotel so could stay in bed while I got up to work and then use the kitchen facilities to her hearts content.

My partner and I stayed at the most beautiful Picturesque Cabin. The cabin is quite, with every little detail thought of to make the start of your break relaxing. After a very stressful couple of days going to stay at the Picturesque Cabin was everything we needed and more. I strongly recommend this accommodation.

The cooking facilities are basic and unable to cook a breakfast so had to eat out for all meals. A bit noisy as not far from main road. It's situated in the owners rear garden and we felt as though we were intruding . No views only of their conservatory. Not far from local supermarket and a few pubs available within a 10 minute walk. It really is super inside just felt disappointed with the views would recommend if only needed a base. The hosts are lovely and customer focused.
The cabin is excellent inside and more suitable as a base to explore the surrounding area.
