Refreshing stat in comfy room were the staff was so friendly and accommodating had a great stay

l . The room wasn't clean, was dust and spider webs, and even a spider crowled on the bed. So that is not so enjoyable to see. No soap in the room. We asked the manager who was at the reception, and he gave us a hand cream lotion as a soap..bed light was not working. Very small tv in the room and mo internet. The room size was adequate for 2 adults and one child.

We enjoyed the breakfast, the staff was nice and helpful . 😀

It wasn't that we didn't like anything. However, the entrance and stairway could do with a makeover. The stair carpet was a little run down. But this wouldn't stop us from staying here again or recommending to friends and family.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in room 210, and it was disclosed that this was their best room. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant/bar area was very nicely decorated. We didn't eat here, but the food we saw looked very nice and looked like decent portions. There was also ample parking.

Shower cubicle door was insecure on first use and came off the rails. Managed to re hang in and informed the reception on my departure. Noise from the kitchen extractor which was outside the room window was a bit annoying but it stopped at 10pm.

Room was tidy and presented well. Food was great in the restaurant.

Hotel due for a refurb it would seem, however cleanliness was on the ball. I would go back if in the area again

TV system was something we have not come across ROKU TV, difficult to navigate and we could not get channels. Asked for someone to come and help but due to the restaurant being so busy, no one came up to our room. A proper written instruction guide would be very useful in the room and also a guest information folder in the room for local attractions, bus services, as it is on a main bus route, would, I think be very helpful.

Room was large and comfortable, bathroom needs attention, mildew in shower, old shower bar still in situ, bathroom sink cabinet needs replacing as wood has become damp and has blown down the sides, needs modernising and floor needs replacing. Didn't like the wall covering in the shower, proper tiling would be much nicer. Breakfast was excellent, nice bright room, good quality food and pleasant staff who checked on you regularly.

The room needs improvement. Only one electric outlet near the TV. Nothing near the beds to charge our cellphones. It's a necessary feature for today's reality. The bathroom's light bulb was out. The breakfast could have more options. I understand the menu used to have more than just the English breakfast. Not anymore. But as I mentioned, the staff was very polite and helpful.

Back of property looked a bit unsightly because of furniture and other items placed against conservatory windows. Just a polite note - would be nice to have a notice in place informing guests on entering the bar area that there is an automatic 10% service charge applied on drinks and meals. Wasn’t aware of this prior to booking until after order placed and sat down to eat.

The establishment is in the stages of being refurbished, newly refurbished restaurant and bar area. Warm and comfortable bedrooms, and clean.

A couple of the minor lights in my room didnt work. Not a significant issue. TV reception was temperamental. It may have been a loose connection to the aerial, or it may be that BBC reception was poor, ITV was better. The lack of a TV remote was inconvenient, the manual switches were not easy to identify.

Breakfast excellent - full English. Room perfectly satisfactory. It was small, but it was a "budget single" so no problems. Dinner excellent - Turkish or Italian, I had Turkish and it was excellent.

Some upgrade in furniture would be required. Breakfast could do with some more fresh items like different types of fruits and yoghurts.

A little shabby, but not important

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large room with plenty of space. Not at all noisy even though situated on a busy road. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Extremely good restaurant with Turkish food.
