Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomArrived on 3 motorcycles and was able to park right next to the front door so they were relatively out of sight from the road. The cooked breakfast was great and our hosts were very helpful in suggestions for routes to takes whilst we were in Wales.

United KingdomWe travelled as a family of 5 for my 35th birthday. We found this gorgeous BnB that was a 30-minute drive from the Snowden Park and Ride. We couldn't have been more lucky with this accommodation. Firstly, upon arrival, Mike, Carrie, and Lola will do everything to help you settle in after a long drive. The suit we were allocated was lovely, It's like your own little apartment! The children were ages 17, 13, and 8, and we had our 2 small Lhasa Apso Dogs as well. The beds were comfortable, it had lovely decor and I highly recommend reading the history around the building in the books provided! Everything worked well in the suit, signal on the TV, showers, and the relaxing deep filled bath, which was well needed after a 6 hour hike up Snowden! If you're planning the walk with children yourself, the Llamberis path is by far the safest and easiest.. We did the Miners by accident up, and the Llamberis back down, taking us 6 hours and some pretty memorable moments. Breakfast both mornings we stayed was 5 Star according to our son Tobias and we have to agree, both the cooked hot and cold continental were of great quality, service and taste! Nothing is too much for Carrie and Mike. They really will go to all lengths to make you feel looked after. I even received flowers on mothers-day, which was so thoughtful, and the homemade Marmalades really are a must try! The views were stunning and it is situated very close to the local town which has an array of shops, cafes, places to eat and parking. The "Pizza & Wine" place is the gorgeous, healthiest pizza we have ever eaten. Gorgeous walks all around Fairy Glen, beaches, and more... Takeaways accessable if you don't wish to eat out or cook, and if you need recommendations, you have the best hosts to help. We are more than sure we will be back, be it this year again or next! Francesca, Martin, Faith, Elliot & Tobias, and not to forget Rocky & Roxy x

United KingdomReally helpful and friendly hosts. We were messed about a bit with cancellations from Zip World, but the hosts made everything as easy as possible for us. We turned up to a very unique house in the countryside and were welcomed with drinks and chat and help regarding where to go for dinner etc ... We brought our dog who was made to feel welcome and our three kids (13, 11 and 7) who loved exploring the area and especially loved our rooms. Comfortable home away from home with a honesty bar which meant you had access to food and drink. We were leaving early in the morning, but breakfast was left out for us which included very good coffee! Couldn't recommend this place enough.

United KingdomThey have not been able to reopen their cafe due to staff shortages but we knew this before we arrived. This did not affect us at all but I can see how it will boost the hotel to the next level.
The owners were so pleasant and accommodating. Could not ask for much more. It will be amazing once they have finished the refurb and I would definitely stay there again.

Israel- You might need help with luggage as there's no elevator. - Get your dinner early - nearest town is 10 minutes away, and restaurants there close by ~20:30
First of all Mike and Carrie were great hosts, and were happy to care for all our requests. The place itself is a very charming manor house overlooking a river. The suite we got was very spacious. The location is excellent for all attractions in Snowdonia.
